Nicolas had just finished checking in at Gryffindor Tower for the evening and was on his way down the corridors of Hogwarts toward the grounds to patrol the forest before retiring for the evening. He hadn't spoken to Cecily much as of late, her having a journal to read and his not wanting to get in her way. Though he had had a rather interesting encounter with Freya a few nights prior and he was forced to wonder how it had turned out for her. He continued to stroll down the corridor toward the next stair way as he thought.

Cecily covered a yawn with her hand and wished she could go straight to bed that night. She'd dropped off a few plant clippings at the hospital and nearly ran into Nicolas as he passed. She fell into step beside him. "Hullo stranger," she grinned up at him. "Patrolling tonight?"

"Hello" Nicolas began with a smile as Cecily came out of the Hospital wing and greeted him. "I suppose so, though maybe not for long." he admitted with a smirk, looking forward to a good night's rest. "How have you been lately?"

"Oh I know what you mean," she sighed. "I won't be long either tonight, just a quick run through and then bed for me." She stretched her arms over her head and then behind her back while yawning as they walked. She shook out her hands and laughed. "I would have some coffee to perk myself up but it'd keep me up all night." She looked over at him. "I'm doing well. How've you been?"

"I've been well enough, less not talking to you as much as I might hope." Nicolas admitted with a grin, "How's the journal coming? Any answers yet?" he started to wonder aloud, "That is, if you don't mind sharing."

"I've missed seeing you around," she smiled softly. "The entries start off well enough, I suppose. My grandfather talks of moving to the states and of their home life. His entries about my grandmother...they're lovely." She glanced at him then in front of them.

"Well that seems harmless enough." Nicolas began skeptically, wondering what or who had enchanted the journal. "Have you met with Edward then?"

"Next week," she said, nodding. "At the Three Broomsticks. I'm nervous about it."

Nicolas nodded, he didn't much like the idea of Cecily meeting with Edward again after what occurred the last time she met with him. He was nervous for her too, and figured if he tried something like the last time he'd skip blowing up trees and go straight for the man himself. "Well, I really hope it goes better than last time."

"I as well,"she said softly, their footfalls sounding throughout the hallway. She was surprised they didn't run into anyone yet, especially in this corridor. She was happy the students were still abed, hopefully. "How are your classes going?"

"Well, nothing as interesting as the last time we spoke about classes." Nicolas began with a wink, "It's just one class after another anymore." He continued as they walked down the hall, "How're you classes?"

"Fun," she laughed. "I'm a bit tired today because the lesson ran a little long but other than that they've been alright."

"So..." Nicolas began as they walked, a lul having come in the conversation. "How busy are you this weekend? Going to be reading the journal the whole time?" he inquired, wondering if Cecily would be interested in doing something with him.

"I mainly read at night at bedtime," she admitted sheepishly. "When the day is done and everyone is settled and I have time just to me. I'd wanted to go the village this weekend and get a few things."

"Would you mind if I joined you?" Nicolas inquired with a slight smile. He had been meaning to find a way out of and away from the castle as of late and a trip to the village with Cecily seemed to him like the perfect afternoon away.

"I wouldn't mind at all," she smiled at him, tucking her wavy hair behind her ears. "In fact, if you'd like to join me for a meal while we're there, that would be wonderful."

"Alright, " Nicolas began in agreeance as they approached the stairway, "I'd better get to the forest now, though." He concluded with a sigh. "I'll talk to you soon?" He offered with another smile.

She nodded, her lips turning up at the corners. "I'll be at breakfast," she promised. "Good night Nicolas."
