For the entirety of that day, and even after his meeting with Amber, Flavio had not been able to think of anything other than the yule ball. It had been a year since he had gone with someone else but still managed to dance with November, confusing both himself and her in the process and Flavio wanted right all the wrongs from the last yule ball and make that night completely worthwhile. Obviously attending the ball with November exclusively was one right to a wrong, and to make an extra effort he had purchased a new, well fitted suit with money he had saved from his job and even picked a rose from the wild patch earlier that day to give to November and impress her. As Flavio got ready, neatening his hair and sliding his blazer on he truly felt confident and excited, leaving his dorm to make his way to ball with the red rose in hand without feeling any hint of nervousness.

He reached the entrance to the great hall, leant against one of the walls and twirled the rose in his hand as he waited for November. Some couples had met up and already walked inside, arm in arm, others hand in hand and groups of friends gathered and entered the hall together. Flavio was one of the few people standing alone though he wasn't bothered by it knowing that November would soon arrive and their magical night could begin.

November had been nervous about the ball all day, she spent the afternoon in the first years dorms with her younger cousin. She helped the younger girl do something with her hair which had been fun, it was neat to see the younger girls and how different they were from the girls in her own year. After finally getting ready she headed out before the younger girl did to meet with Flavio at the Entrance to the Great Hall. Last year he had gone with another girl and now this year it was back to her, she hoped next year wouldn't follow that same cycle and it would be her again. She really liked him a lot, even more now that they were dating. All the words Amber had said to her days before meant little now as November was fully happy to have her eyes glued to Flavio the whole night. Walking down the steps she was careful not to fall over, not being very used to heels, her dress was a classic style. She had found it back home over the summer and brought it thinking if the case happened to be that it would fit well with Flavio's style. She was glad she had gotten in on a whim.

Standing at the top of the last bit of steps November looked down and spotted Flavio. He was looking very nice in his suit, she was impressed. She made her way down to him a big smile on her face the entire time. "Hi there," she said as she finally reached him at the doorway. She was nervous to know what he thought of her blue dress but also really excited for their evening.

Flavio continued to absent mindedly twirl the rose in his hand, his attention wavering between the people near him and the stairs as he waited for his girlfriend. When she soon appeared at the top of the steps his expression warmed and as she walked towards him he matched her wide smile with his own, happy beyond belief to attend the yule ball with November, let alone call himself her boyfriend. It was something he never thought would happen considering the situation they were in the previous year and November and Amber's ongoing feud. But in spite of it all they were there together, balancing every different aspect of their lives to spend time with each other on a night Flavio was sure he would remember for a long time. "Hi." Flavio greeted November in return, stepping forward to hug her and quickly place a kiss on her cheek. When he pulled away, he held out the rose to her. "This is for you, I cut away all the thorns so you did not hurt yourself." The rose was a deep red colour, and the most vibrant one he could find in the entirety of the wild patch. He was proud that he was able to find the perfect rose and hoped that November would appreciate the gift. "The dress you are wearing is amazing, by the way, you look beautiful." Flavio added, not wanting to make her appearance seem like an afterthought in his mind as it definitely was not. Giving her the rose had simply distracted him from everything he wanted to say.
