Enoch had been unsure as to if he should come, as he always tended to come for all of about ten minutes and then he'd leave. Enoch was just someone who came alone to say he had before leaving. His parents couldn't complain that he wasn't taking part and thus didn't need to get involved if he was always taking part. Enoch had come to the dance, was going to do exactly one lap before leaving again. He hoped to be able to do it in peace.
