His first rose was for one of the twenty-seven deliverers. He did not personally know him but he seemed like a nice person when he came over to sign up. It was breakfast time at the moment and the Gryffindor hoped to deliver all his flowers here at once. Scanning the Hufflepuff table for the familiar face, Thaddeus took the boy's rose out of the bucket. Once the boy spotted the third-year he walked over to him and gently tapped him on the shoulder. ''Nixon, right?'' He asked. ''Got a rose here for you!'' He added with an enthusiastic smile.

Nixon's valentine's day was finally beginning, but before starting his rose deliveries he thought it would be wise to eat a hearty breakfast that would keep him full for most of the day. He sat down at the hufflepuff table and looked around, indecisive on which food would be best, and was caught up in thought when the older Gryffindor boy organizing the rose deliveries approached him. For a moment Nixon worried he was supposed to finish his deliveries before breakfast and the boy was about to scold him, but it seemed to be a different case when he noticed he was holding a yellow rose, and later when he confirmed the rose was indeed for him. "Oh, that's awesome. Now I get to start my day with a rose." Nixon said, smiling. He held a hand out so the boy could give the rose over, and felt curious to see which of his friends it was from.

He chuckled at Nixon's response. ''Isn't that the best way to start the day.'' Teddy commented and then gave him the yellow flower with a note attached to it. ''Happy Valentine's day, Nixon. And don't worry about deliveries, you've got until the dance to do them. Enjoy your breakfast first, it's the most important meal of the day after all.'' He told the younger boy.
You have been such a great friend. Happy Valentines!

Alexis

Nixon accepted the rose, then nodded as Thaddeus confirmed he had until the dance to complete his own deliveries. With the plan to complete them after eating breakfast he was sure he was able to get them done in time. "Breakfast is the most important." He agreed, before diverting his attention to the rose as he unfolded the note attached to it. When he read the message and saw who it was from a smile appeared on his face. Alexis was a friend of his he had not interacted with in a while, but knowing she still thought of him enough to send him a rose that day made him want to thank her in person and change that. Looking back up to Thaddeus, Nixon said "Happy valentine's day to you too!" and hoped that the boy would have a nice day because he definitely deserved it for organizing the rose deliveries so well every year.
