Recieveing a rose had been a nice feeling. Ellie had enjoyed it more than she probably should have, but she also knew that she had to put a stop to whatever it was that Aspen thought they had. Ellie couldn't allow Aspen to go on thinking that there was a chance for something between them. She was... Dangerous, she didn't want to ever hurt Aspen. It was all fine and dandy to pretend when she was at school, but she was graduating this year and what would she do after that. She liked Aspen, a lot, but there was just no way she could really justify a relationship with the younger girl. Ellie had things to do, she had a solitary life to lead. She'd planned it all out and now she was going to have to extricate herself from Aspen. One day Aspen would understand. She turned to smile at her companion. "Aspen, do you want to dance?"

Valentines Day was finally exciting for Aspen. She absolutely loved hanging out with Ellie, she was easily the best thing to have happened to her. Aspen didn't expect a rose from Ellie, they hadn't really talked about sending them to each other, but the Hufflepuff liked surprising her. The Sixth Year was excited for the Valentines Dance, she left her hair alone, but put on a pretty white dress and covered herself in jewellery. A grin grew on her face as Ellie asked her to dance. "Of course!" Aspen replied, grabbing her hand, dancing her way to the dance floor.

Ellie smiled slightly as she indulged Aspen. She knew this was what was causing the problem in the first place, but she liked Aspen and she didn't actually want to hurt the girl. There were just certain things preventing her from actually going further with their relationship. Life as a werewolf was difficult at the best of times without getting another person involved. Aspen didn't know what she was getting herself into, how could she? "I'm almost certain you think we look way better together than we actually do when dancing." Ellie laughed, having fun despite her decision. After all of this, that was when she'd tell Aspen. For now, it wouldn't be a horrible idea to have fun. Truth be told, she'd had more fun with Aspen in the last few weeks than she'd had in years. Always so full of energy, even when Ellie wasn't.

Aspen feigned confusion at Ellie's comment. "I don't know what you're talking about babes, we look amazing, and are probably - no - definitely the best dancers here." She said, before cracking a smile. Aspen truly didn't care what she looked like, or what her dancing was like. The Hufflepuff liked to impress Ellie, and would dress to impress her, but no one else mattered, and as long as they were having fun, that was all Aspen cared about. "You look amazing, by the way." Aspen said, dancing her way closer to Ellington.
