🌹 Rose Giving On Someone's Mind

January was starving but she couldn't quite take a break yet, not with so many roses left to hand out. So she had to be quick if she wanted to make sure she had time for lunch. The next name on her list was for an older boy but he was a prefect so she had at least heard of him before. It took some courage from her to ask a few of the students at the Gryffindor table if they could point her to Teddy. But with their help she found him quickly after that. She approached him tentatively and cleared her throat to get his attention. "Hello, are you Teddy?" she asked, just to make sure.

Typically Teddy had just taken an enormous mouthful of cereal when a young student approached asking if he was Teddy. Teddy made a grunt sound, then chewed and swallowed as quickly as he could. "Yes I'm Teddy" he answered when he could.

January was momentarily take aback when the older boy turned to her with his mouth full. She felt guilty for interrupting him but considering she was handing him a red rose she hoped he'd be happy about it. "Oh, good. Well I have a rose for you." she explained quickly as she grabbed the flower and the note that went with it. "Here you are."

Dear Teddy.Happy Valentine's Day. I am so glad that i got to get to know you better this year and that i get to date someone as awesome as you.It's a shame that I won't be spending Valentine's Day with you, as we'll both be delivering. I am definitely going to be thinking about you a lot today, even more than normal.I hope we can at least get a bit of time together.See you at the dance, if not before, I’ll have a kiss waiting.Hugo
