Sapphire had been out and about for quite a while now, going back to Brightstone on weekends to spend time with her family and taking off most of the week to work. It wasn't perfect, and she thought often of buying an apartment somewhere, but she wasn't sure where. Maybe in France; she was sure her brother was going to drift that way eventually and if she was there too it would give him a better excuse. She wanted to spend a bit more time with Onyx's new 'friend' before she decided anything, though.
She wasn't about to admit she had thought about a place in Brightstone, once, but her reasons for staying had quickly turned to reasons for not wanting to be there anymore. She had found some random dinette, hungry and not wanting to eat at home. She found a booth in the corner, facing the door but not really paying attention. She was going through the last week's photos, looking to see what she had gathered. She had been shadowing a new herd and was relatively pleased with her success. She was caught up going through her photos and hardly noticed any of the hustle and bustle going on about her.
