Elodie Kesslar had a moment of spare time in her currently busy schedule to spend on herself. Teaching had taken up a lot of her time and to get out of her office and outdoors was a welcome change. Deciding to apparate into town Elodie took her guitar in hand and strolled out of the school grounds. Once out of sight of the school the young professor turned on the spot and apparated into a deserted alleyway. Shaking her dark hair out of her eyes Elodie set down her guitar for a moment and straightened out her outfit before picking up her guitar case and walking out into the busy street. She had received a letter not to long ago from her younger half sister Jaymie about a twin sister, Genevieve, someone Elodie had long believed was only an imaginary friend. Though apparently she was a real person and the precocious eight year old had managed to organize a meeting between the two of them, something that Elodie was rather excited about. Gen had run away when they were young and had heard nothing since, and to find out that she was looking to meet her, Elodie was over the moon. So weaving between the bustling people to the cafe that had been the agreed meeting place she pulled up a seat at the only spare table, setting guitar down next to it. Elodie had thought it through, if Gen didn't turn up for whatever reason, she could always spend the afternoon busking. Signalling to the waiter Elodie ordered an orange juice to drink while she waited. Hopefully Genevieve wouldn't disappoint.

Genevieve Kesslar hurried through the bustling streets, feeling slightly panicked because she knew she was late. To what she vieved as quite possibly the most important meeting in her life. At any rate, meeting her long-lost twin would change that life forever. When Genevieve had gone to meet her father on a vague search for her identity (it sounded stupid as she said it to herself), she had never dreamed that her childhood imaginary friend might be real, and in New Zealand. And yet, here she was going to meet said not-so-imaginary friend. What a crazy world.

Gen figured it would be fairly easy to spot Elodie; I just look for someone who's identical to me. She was right. There were no problems of identification, like those you usually get when meeting someone you haven't seem in years. As she walked into the cafe, Genevieve was immediately struck by the similarities- and differences- between them. Elodie had dyed her hair and looked very much more at ease than Gen felt, but they evidently had a similar sort of fashion sense, and she was holding a guitar! Gen was excited about this, and it assuaged some of her nerves. If they both played guitar, then surely their lives hadn't been that different. And if they were, at least there was something to talk about. Gen waved from the door, then hurried to the table where her twin was sitting. The usually talkative young woman found she had suddenly lost all her eloquence. "Um, hi."
