Off Trail

"I do," he said, averting his gaze from Austin's. "It's just, nevermind." He obviously wasn't willing to talk about it.

Austin shrugged, "Muggles are funny people. If I were a prank person, I would cast magic on them just because." Austin smiled. "But I'm not. And I won't push you to tell me why or anything."

Azerail smiled, but he didn't reply. He only looked down at his feet, lost in his thoughts.

Austin folded his arms across his chest, book against his chest as well. He then asked, "What are you doing in this part of the alley anyway?"

"I'm waiting on my mother," Azerail replied. "She had matters to attend to."

Austin nodded, indicating he understood. Although, he couldn't help but wonder why she would be in a place like this. Confusion was his expression.

"I have to go," Azerail said, before looking at Austin. "Maybe we'll meet again in school." He then ran off, not waiting for Austin to reply.

Austin shrugged, seeing the boy run off. Austin decided to explore more of Bleak Street before finally leaving.
