The weather was starting to get warmer, and Ruby was here for it. She had no idea who's stupid idea it was to start a semester at the end of winter, but it was a stupid idea. But, finally, the sun was out and it was a perfect day for a swim. Ruby hoped she was going to find Rion on the way to drag her to the lake with her, but she didn't find her on the way down, nor after a quick peek in the Great Hall. Still, Ruby wasn't going to let that ruin her day, and she had a huge grin on her face as she walked outside and felt the sun instantly hit her body. Ruby stopped for a moment, enjoying the warmth, before making her way towards the lake, moving faster the closer she got, before she broke into a full sprint, yelling loudly as she approached the water, taking a huge leap and making a huge splash as she hit the water.

Santiago never thought he would miss the heat but he did. He grew up in the desert where you could practically fry an egg on the sidewalk during the summer. He knew going to school things would be different but he never thought about the cold. He knew he would be just as cold, especially now if he had gone to Ilvermorny but that wasn't the point. But at least it almost summer now and while it didn't come close to the desert it still felt nice to sit in the sun and the lake was a perfect place to do that, and usually pretty quiet too. Santiago was sitting by himself, minding his own business when he heard someone scream before crashing into the water. His heart skipped a beat at the scare but he quickly scowled when he saw who it was. The annoying girl from the train. The one with the two names. Ruby something? "I heard there's a man eating eel in there." he called out when she finally came up for air.
