The Morales children were a close knit group, closer than most and if anything had come of their families struggles Valentina was glad for this because she knew that perhaps she wouldn’t be as close with her youngest brothers simply because of their difference in years. So as it was a beautiful day and she hoped that Marcos wouldn’t fear the water she took him to the beach. All she had to do first was just pack a bag for them and when the Chilean witch had she ruffled her brother’s hair and took him by the hand, apparating them both to the beach front. While they walked to what her little brother called ‘the perfect spot’ on the sandy beach they spoke of pirates and great big castles, it was enough to make the young woman want to hold him close to her and never let go. It wouldn’t be long before he would be in Hogwarts like Flavio and honestly she would miss their time together just like she missed her time with her little duck. So she worked hard so they could play hard and so her younger siblings wouldn’t lose their childhood and some of the best years of their lives before they had to commit to a career. While Valentina was already committed on that front she was lucky to be able to play with her little brother now and smiled as they built sandcastles and spoke to one another in English so he could learn. It was important to her that he did otherwise he would be going to Castelobruxo on his own because there would be no point in sending him to a school where he couldn’t understand his professors.

While they played something caught the corner of the brunette’s eye. A surfer. Try as she might she couldn’t help but stare at him while she attempted to firm the sand enough in the bucket to build a nice tower exactly where Marcos told her to put it. The witch thought that it was a little too cold to go out into the water and would never go that far into the ocean. Stepping her painted toes into it and splashing around was as close as she would get but she was still amazed at the person who managed to dip and dive their way through waves. Waves that she would never allow Marcos to go into because of their size and strength. No she was glad to look but would certainly never dream to partake herself and with this thought she was happy to continue helping her little brother as the sun beat down on them.

Being a surfer was Liam’s dream. Ever since he was a kid, he was always out on the waters. Now that he and his older brother was isolated from each other, Liam was living it. He was solo, had friends on the beaches, and lived almost like a muggle. A lot of the time, he did not need magic. His brother, on the other hand, relied too much on magic. Jarryn looked down on Liam like he was scum, but Liam looked down on Jarryn because he was always sleeping with someone different every week. Liam had a fair share of ex’s but that was because Liam couldn’t find himself ready to settle down for a family yet. He needed time. He dove into the waves, the cool water washing over his body. It never took him long to get used to it. Riding the small waves were easy. The bigger ones were what he lived for. As he prepared for the big waves, he steadied and swam. The board caught the wave and soon he was riding it as easily as he flew a broom back in the day. He always stood on the broom as he was flying it (but he was not as good as surfing because of the limited foot space).

As he was finishing the wave, Liam’s eyes looked to the shore and he saw a beautiful woman. Because he kept his eyes on her, a smaller wave came up and knocked him clear off the board. He completely went under, his leg tangled from the leash on the board. He swam up and shook his head. His hair stuck to his face and neck as he swam toward the shore. He managed to walk. Liam unhooked himself from the board, and walked up to the girl that managed to make him wipe out completely. That was definitely uncool and lame. Liam was definitely not a shy person. “Did you like my small performance out there?” He wasn’t aware if there were other surfers out in the cold water. He had a one focus mind.

Valentina's heart began to race as she saw the surfer she had been no so subtly watching fall off his board. With her fear of the water she could not help him but she could still feel her stomach rise to her throat and wait expectantly for him to either float or for their to be a reason for her to rush away with Marcos for the life guards to their jobs. She could not put the little boy through that with their history but luckily for both the surfer and herself she saw him rise out of the water and actually walk closer to her. Attempting to not look as if she was staring she returned her attention to her baby brother and their sandcastle until someone spoke to them in English. She looked up at the man who looked like a wet dog and narrowed her gaze on him, wondering what he wanted from her and mostly why the surfer thought it would be appropriate to approach her while she had a child nearby because she was no stranger to men's prying gaze though her own gaze did trail away from his eyes briefly.

She was relieved now that her younger family members spoke only few English the Chilean responded in the same language, "You failed spectacularly." Her words and tone sounded bored yet her expression was clearly amused in him but not at all showing that she had been concerned for him at all. Still the woman was with Marcos and would not like to entertain some man while in his company. Everything she did was to improve the lives of her siblings and some flaky man was not going to meddle into the middle of the Morales mess. She knew enough to know this was only for her immediate benefit and in no way would give anything back to the people she cared for endlessly. Valentina could only allow this conversation for a brief moment so as to tell Marcos she was just being polite so he would learn by action even if he spoke and understood broken English.
