Tamsin Rainsworth could not have been anymore glad than when she had finally managed to escape her babysitter for the day. She didn't really need one, but then again, she was currently in another country and she was only fourteen years old. Some things could go wrong on entirely different levels, but then again, she really couldn't care about that. She just wanted the woman following her like a lost puppy to go away. She didn't need the extra company as she was meeting with someone. Of course, she had disguised this little trip as something a little more educational or something of the sort. She couldn't really remember the excuse she had given her parents when she told them that she wanted or needed to go to Australia. They relented, obviously, but only if a sitter was to accompany her and she agreed. All the while, the gears in her head turning as to form a plan on how to evade her chaperone. And of course, an hour of being followed, chased and scolded, she had managed to completely lose the horrid woman and was now well on her way to meet Kei Arai.

Tammy wasn't really all familiar with the streets of Australia. However, she liked to think that she was doing fairly well with navigating herself around the place. She and Kei had been planning to meet for a while and they made sure to discuss every bit of detail that they could. Including getting to their meeting place. It was a park of sorts, nothing out of the ordinary and was the perfect place to meet without being suspicious. There was no telling though where they would go after meeting, but she had quite a few place in mind if the boy had no idea. Rounding the corner to a street, she knew that the park was only but two blocks away now. She hoped that the babysitter was far from where she was, otherwise, all the planning and evading would have been all for naught. She wanted to meet with Kei again, and this was the only way she knew how. With the thought in mind, she quickened her pace towards the park and made it there without a hitch. The girl looked around the place, wondering if she had gotten there before him. She was quite sure she was in the right place after all.

Having got away from none other than his mother once more, Kei Arai walked along the sidewalk, only to meet up with one of his friends he managed to make during one of his many runaways. Kei had his hair blue, of course, and wondered if Rei would try to follow him. He hoped not, since he was not one of those that wanted Rei to follow in his footsteps. Rei had a long life ahead of him, but he hoped that Rei would make the right choices, and not put his trust in just anyone. Kei had a hard time trusting people, but one of those that he did trust was Tamsin. She was his best friend. One of his only friends. Of course he would want to have her around. He hoped that she would end up away from the adults. She seemed to be really good at avoiding them. His mother did not want him to hang around the folk that were different from him, but Kei did not care. He wanted to see Tamsin. Kei put on his rollerblades and he made his way down the sidewalk of Australia even quicker.

Australian streets were familiar for him, since he has made this route before. He smirked a little bit as he passed some of the civilians. He looked positively like a muggle right now, dressed in jeans and a loose pale blue shirt. He hurried to the park, and within a few moments, he made it there. He could see the head of blonde hair. Tamsin! He skidded to a stop, before he slowed down remarkably to come toward her in a slow manner. He did not want to lose control and end up smashing into her. "Tamsin!" Kei called out once he approached her. He shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans. "So, you ditched your adults well enough so that they cannot follow?" Kei was fumbling with his words, which was normal for the boy. He cast a small smile toward her. Kei did not want to take off his blades, since he loved moving in them. Though if she wanted to play in the park, he would not have a choice. This was just something that he wanted to do. He loved it, and he was sure that Tamsin would understand him. She did know him better than his own brothers, except Rei.

Tamsin Rainsworth debated with herself as to whether to search the park for her friend or the places surrounding it. She worried that she was late and that he had left her, or perhaps she was too early. A look on her watch said that she was a few minutes early and she couldn't help but sigh in relief. She did not want to make him wait just because she had been trying hard to evade her sitter. Of course, she had managed well enough that she was sure that the woman was now currently wandering aimlessly throughout the streets of Australia in the shopping center about twenty blocks away from the park. Granted it was farther than she had intended, it still worked out. Looking around, Tamsin didn't really know what to do but stand around the park as she waited for the arrival of her friend. To her only friend anyways. She had met Kei the first time she had gotten lost and they had been friends since. They would frequently meet up in secret in which she enjoyed all too well. Moments later, her train of thoughts were stopped by the very person that was in it.

The blonde managed to grin as she had seen the Asian boy with blue hair approached her in his roller blades. She couldn't help but approach him as well and suddenly engulf him in a hug. She couldn't remember when they had sneaked away last but upon seeing him, she had all too quickly realized that she had missed him. After pulling all too quickly when she realized what she has done, she stood awkwardly at arm's length still grinning. "Do you not have faith in my skills Kei?" she jokingly answered his question. She was sure they both knew that her sitter for the day was a lost cause like all others that had tried to keep an eye on her. Sneaking away was her past time and she liked to think that she wouldn't be found unless she wanted to be. "So, what are our plans for today? Did you plan on playing on the swing set?" she asked as with a chuckle as she began to walk away from the playground. She was in a dress that wasn't very ideal for roughhousing in the playground with kids half her age after all. And his rollerblades weren't ideal either.

What Kei did not really expect was the hug, but he gladly returned it as well. When asked if Kei lacked faith within her skills, which he was tempted to say of course he didn't. Because he did not lose faith for her skills, but it was not like they could stand the chance of being caught. He did not want to be whisked back to the house. He did not want that for her either. Instead, he wanted the two of them to enjoy their day out. And he was determined to do just that. Instead of telling her the truth, he smirked and gave her a small nudge, "Of course I doubted your skills. You don't seem as talented as I am." Kei thought that this was cool though, since he liked hanging out with her. She was fun. She was his best friend after all. He did not trust anyone outside of Rei and Ryuu, except for Tamsin. Kei was thinking of things to do, since her next question was about his plans for the day, and if he wanted to play on the swing set. He looked over toward the swings, and then toward his blades. Was that such a good idea though? He was sixteen now. Perhaps swings were not the best choice. Kei sighed as he went over the options within his mind.

"I don't think my blades could tolerate the mulch with the swing sets. But how about some coffee or something to eat? We can go to a cafe or something." Kei did not really know what he wanted to do, but he thought that they could enjoy themselves, walk, while he skates, next to her. He took her hand into his, thinking nothing of it, but it would help them walk. He had enough money to treat the both of them. They were friends and friends helped each other a lot. She trusted him and he trusted her. He was going to enjoy the whole day though. "So, there's a seafood joint up here, or Japanese if you wanted to experience my culture a little bit. Or burgers, which I think are American or something. Your choice on where we eat." Kei hoped that she would choose the Japanese spot because he was in the mood for some sushi.

Tamsin could not help but laugh at his words. They had not been together for more than a few minutes but she was already enjoying her time with him. It was surely worth getting scolded over that's for sure. Her time with him would always be the happy and fun ones. She grinned back at him as he expressed his opinion of her skills. Normally she'd be offended. But this was Kei, she knew him better than she knew others. It was apparent though that he was clearly joking, and she wasn't really one to back down from a playful banter of sorts. "Oh right. And that's because I am much better than you," she snickered as she crossed her arms in front of her in an imposing sort of pose. But then again, she doubted she would be very threatening to him even if she was serious and she tried. "More talented too," she added. After all, a girl can dream.

"You're right," Tamsin mused although she already knew quite well that he would not be able to go on the swing set the moment she had seen his blades. He loved his blades and she knew all too well that he would not risk them getting broken. The young girl followed him as he began to move away from the park and while she was having a bit of difficulty keeping up with his pace, she didn't mind it one bit. She happily took his hand in hers, quite glad as she at least figured that it would now be hard to get separated from him. After all, Australia was still an unfamiliar place to her. "Hmm, we could try the Japanese place I guess," Tammy told him with a shrug after looking over their options. She wanted to be able to get to know him and his life after all, and that involved knowing about his culture. "I've never had Japanese stuff before," she said with a shrug as she let him lead the way to the Japanese place that he knew of so they could both eat.

Kei had this feeling that Tamsin really liked him, and it would be returned if it didn't feel right to him. So, he would just enjoy himself and see where it takes him. Kei's blue hair moved softly in the wind, as he continued to skate alone, albeit slowly so that Tamsin could keep up with his pace. She teased him, just as he teased her. He rolled his dark eyes before he countered, "Oh please. You can try all you want to look imposing but it isn't working." Was that the right word? Yes it was. English was one of his strong suits but sometimes even he could slip up from time to time. He didn't know why he couldn't spend time with Tamsin. She was a pure-blood, and his mother coveted pure-bloods all the time. She married into a prominent one after all. "I think I have you beat on talent, when it comes to skating at least." Kei knew that he was talented in skating, and would love to do that professional, but he had something else in mind.

A smirk spread across his lips, as she said that he was right. He knew that he was. Being sixteen was a blessing and a curse at the same time. He looked toward Tamsin, before he wondered if she liked being a teenager as much as he did. She decided to try Japanese and that made Kei smile even more. "You will love it, I promise. I can teach you to eat with chopsticks too." The excited teenager had to remind himself not to go any faster, or risk dragging Tamsin with him. Eventually, they arrived to the restaurant, where he released her hand so that he could sit down on the bench and take off his skates, to replace them with vivid blue sneakers. He jumped back onto his feet, and led her inside. "Oh, how do you feel about eating raw fish?" Of course it was not as bad as eating live squid, which he did every three months as a special treat, but some people hated the idea of sushi.
