Niall had been pretty unsure about Halloween ever since Evianna asked him to the ball. It had been weeks ago, and while Niall no longer really cared, he felt no urge to actually attend the event and preferred instead to do something away from all the hustle of the party. He didn't even both to dress up. He was instead in his shorts and favourite Quidditch vest, hanging around outside in the courtyard. The evening was coming to a close and the wind was cool on his skin as he sat quietly on top of the wall, between two pillars with his back pressed against one of them. Sticker book in lap, he was peeling off little Quidditch players from a deck of cards and putting them into his collection, thinking about whether or not his sister would have given him grief if she were to catch him now. Niall knew he'd gotten his love for the sport from his parents, but Kellen was not so convinced.

Dorian didn't know why he'd bothered trying to go down to the Halloween feast. Events like this always made him feel out of his depth, something he despised. It was like everyone else got a handbook of how to act at these sort of things except Dorian and he was left floundering like an idiot in front of the whole school. Ezra could make things like this bearable, but of course Dorian would run into Anisha and her gaggle of Gryffindors instead of his friend and now he'd ended up the butt of some big joke.

They were probably in there still snickering about his lack of costume or whatever faux pas he'd committed no doubt and Dorian scowled as he pushed out into the courtyard, nose wrinkling when he saw he wasn't even alone out here either. "And what are you supposed to be? Something else I don't get, no doubt," he snapped at the boy sitting on the wall, straightening his robes and trying to regain his composure despite his annoyance.

Evianna was wearing cat costume for the last minute and mayby that was worst idea last minute but at least she have a costume. She missed her home and her dad but right now and today she will be enyoi halloween. She was walking here and were was Nial. She looked around for him and saw him with some boy? She didn't know if she wanted go close to him becouse he was alredy talking.

Niall had always enjoyed Quidditch, but most of all he enjoyed following the players on their professional career trails, and seeing what they'd do next. The first year was peeling off another player when he heard a voice nearby. He didn't even realize he was being spoken to for a moment, until he turned his head after a few seconds to see another boy scowling at him. He'd said something about not being sure of his costume, although Niall thought it was pretty obvious that he hadn't bothered to dress for the party. Niall didn't think he'd seen this student before so he wasn't entirely sure why he was snapping at him, and he knew he hadn't done anything wrong by sitting out here instead of attending the festivities. "Are some costumes confusing?" he asked sincerely. The Hufflepuff hadn't really seen any asides those he'd walked past on the way here, but given that there were students from all over the world with different backgrounds, it didn't surprise him if some costumes flew over the heads of other students. "Don't worry, you're not missing anything here. I'm not part of the party," by the looks of it, neither was he.

He glanced over the shoulder of the student and saw Evianna, giving her a small wave as she seemed hesitant as to whether or not to come closer. "Hi," he smiled, glad to see someone seemed to be enjoying themselves at least.

''Hi, i still love your hair.'' She told him with warm smile. She wanted a little shake but didn't do that and she was a little shy becouse of new boy. ''Hello.'' She welcomed him and smiled and hoped he was nice ravenlaw.

Dorian couldn’t tell if the boy was being condescending or not, crossing his arms as he considered his answer for a moment. “Maybe just some peoples’ taste in them is,” he finally responded in a haughty tone, relieved at least that the boy didn’t seemed to be dressed up as something else ridiculous, though Dorian refused to let it show on his face. “I’d agree reading is a lot better than some party,” he said, squinting to try and see what was in the book, though it looked like the boy had stickers in his hand and Dorian frowned to see the book wasn’t actually a proper book and let out a noise of disgust.

He looked over his shoulder when someone else stepped outside, complimenting the boy on the wall, dressed as a cat and Dorian narrowed his eyes at her. “There’s no lollies or food out here, so you might as well go back to the feast,” he said harshly, on edge seeing someone else dressed up when he’d only just escaped from the gaggle of costumed students inside. He didn’t recognize the girl but that didn’t mean much when everyone was dressed up and she was wearing cat make up.
