It came naturally to Marcus it seemed to be either liked or hated. He didn't truly mind, history had proven that it was those who didn't care what others thought that had achieved the greatest things. When one could put aside what people say and just focus on what he himself is doing. This was the ideas and conversations going on in Marcus mind as he sat there in an empty hall in Durmstrang. It was his fifth year that Marcus attended Durmstrang and when one thought about it, it had been a long time ago that he entered these walls for the first time. Nothing extraordinary had taken place yet, even if he truly wanted to leave his mark on this world, he still hadn't done anything that was worth being marked down in history. He had made a few friends, had made a few people laugh and had on the other hand, made some people furious after him. It was a common sight for Marcus to have some people hates him for whatever reason. It wasn't as if he didn't give them reasons to not like him. Whenever someone did something that he found stupid, he wasn't scared to say so to that person and nobody liked being told those things.
Marcus stared at the wall in front of him, taking in every little hole, every motif and anything else that made the wall what it was. He didn't have much to do, he had written and sent his letter to his sister earlier in the day, and homework was either done or due in a far enough time period that he didn't need to rush himself in doing them now. With his situation, Marcus had thought of going for a walk throughout Durmstrang and he had been walking for a while now before deciding to take a seat in the empty hall that he had arrived a few minutes earlier. Marcus was taken out of his personal bubble by the sound of footsteps not too far away. Was it a student or a staff member? Who knew, Marcus didn't hold any particular talent in making out what kind of person by the simple sound of footsteps. He was merely going to wait and see who would arrive in the hall with him, the only thing Marcus knew was that he didn't want to be caught sitting down and so with the help and strength of his hands down on the floor, Marcus raised himself before taking over with his legs till he was in a standing position to greet the oncoming person.
