Closed No Longer Controlled Chaos

Annika giggled softly. "Careful, Shane, you'll end up spoiling him." She didn't really mean it, knowing they'd both spoil the poor boy rotten. She stifled a yawn, leaning against the wall and taking tiny bites as their meal was served. "Mm, keep cooking like this and you'll spoil me," She teased, giving him a tired smile.

Shane gave a little laugh. "He deserves to be spoiled," Shane replied softly. "I don't understand how people can look at their babies and not want to spoil them," he said gently, looking down at the sleeping bundle in his arms. He laughed lightly. "I've always spoiled you Annika,"

Annika giggled gently. "And that is why we only need one," She countered. She couldn't imagine having two spoiled children. Or having to split her attention between more than one child. Or even giving birth again. She was too tired for that. She blushed at his attention, and gave him a gentle smile. "You have. I'm surprised, really. For such a free man, you've always had a soft spot for me, Shawn." She winked playfully.

Shane could agree, though this had been a happy mistake. One he would treasure for all of his life, he also knew that he didn't particularly want more and he didn't particularly want Annika to suffer so much for more. "I think one is more than enough, no matter how precious he is." he said, and then shrugged. "We're friends Annika, of course I have a soft spot for you," he replied, as if it were obvious. "You mean a lot to me,"

Annika had managed to eat about half of her dinner, and shifted so she could lean a bit more into Shane's side, shutting her eyes. "Well, thankfully the two of you happen to be a few of my favorite boys," She teased. "Ulysses wins, of course. Though you and Dimitri are probably tied for second. Close tie." She yawned. "I think I'm going to head to bed. Is that alright?" She asked.
