It was a slow day at the Ministry that day that the Magical Office of Law had an early lunch break. Thankfully, Teagan was invited to go out by her mum. The blonde woman grabbed her coat and bag and off she went into one of the fireplaces that leads up to the Leaky Cauldron and then she would meet her mum in a cafe near there. It was nice to see a familiar face since all she seems to meet is her dad who, in no disrespect, had been boring to be with. Yes, she was in that stage where she should date but it wasn't that long since she broke up with Damien. Teagan wondered where he could have been now.

Exiting the fireplace and the dimly lit pub surprised her. Teagan greeted the bartender who she had dealt with a few times. She then exited the establishment with poise, catching the streets at its empty phase. When Teagan turned a corner, the amount of people rush like Drury Lane was just a back alley that no one walks by. The woman was smiling when she approved to eat lunch at a sports bar by then she can do some day drinking and distress all together even though it was only for a couple of hours.

Entering the premises, a few rugby and American football games were on the tellys hanging on the walls of the pub. Teagan didn't go looking for her mum that long. She was just near the entrance sitting at a booth. "Hey, you!" She called out playfully at her mum as she joined in with her.

Jessica bid her coworkers a goodnight as she made her way to the lobby. She read the time on her watch. The mother thought she would be late for her lunch date with her daughter but it was merely just 11 in London right now. Finding a safe place to apparate to Europe, she took on a dark alley and with a swish of her wand, Jessica was gone into thin air. The woman came up behind a pub, it was cold and the sun barely shone.

The country was different for a woman who lives in the southern part of North America where the sun always shine. After a few brush off of dust on her clothes, Jessica went around to find the pub they agreed to go for lunch. It was a sports bar and a restaurant. She knew Teagan loves sports and thus the ambience helps. The mother got them a table and she settled with a pint of a local beer.

Day drinking wasn't really in her list but back home it was still dark. It was day and nigh drinking in one. A few moments later, Jessica heard her daughter called out for her. The blonde turned around to see Teagan and she smiled. "Hey, love. How's work?" She asked, although, she would know the feeling of working at the Ministry.

Damien had found a nice little sports bar. He took a seat in the corner, well out of the way. Dani was supposed to meet him here after practice. He sipped on his mocha. While he waited, he had been working on his blog. Fashion was an ever-changing world. And a fabulous one. He had been halfway through his latest entry when he heard an all-too-familiar voice calling out. He sputtered on his drink, coughing in his elbow. No. No no no. He hadn't seen Teagan since they'd broken up. He hadn't planned on seeing her again- ever. He tried to discreetly pack his things. He needed to get out of here before Dani showed up. He was dramatic, sure, but he didn't want to cause a scene. He didn't want to see Teagan, happy or hurt or anything. He didn't want to know how she would react to his new girlfriend. And he didn't want Dani to have to deal with his mistakes. She'd seen more than enough already. He threw his bag over his shoulder and stood so he could try for a quick exit.

Danielle quickly made her way to the sports bar where she was supposed to meet her boyfriend, Damien. Practice ran a bit late, with Dexter, their coach, wanted to make sure everybody wa ready for the upcoming match. She adjusted her purse in her hand as she pushed the door open to the meeting place. It was not too crowded as she looked arouund to spot Damien. It was not that hard, though, since the man had just stood, slinging his bag onto his shoulder. "Damien!", she called out to get his attention as she weaved through the tables. Placing a hand on his cheek, she pecked him lightly on the lips, "Have you been here long, darling?", she asked with a smile."Sorry, practice ran a bit late.", she added apologetically. She held his hand lovingly.

Teagan went to hug her mum, it was nice to see her. Her efforts apparating in the middle of the night for a visit was well appreciated now. "Work is pretty loaded up, as well as at my muggle job. This is not what I expected when I wanted to be normal." But she was learning a lot of the ways she had not been given the opportunity to do. Like groceries, looking for an apartment and public transportation. The blonde woman went to seat across from Jessica and waved at a waiter to get her order. "So, how's everyone after the Thanks giving disaster? I'm well aware grandma doesn't want us back for awhile?" The disaster was mainly cause by her own family and not by her dad who was then patient and understanding.

Whilst hearing the door to the bar open and didn't recognized the man going out to depart. A woman called upon him that made her jolt. A worried look was forming on her face. The waiter came at that moment but she held the order for another minute. The woman who called her ex gave him a kiss on the lips. At that gesture, Teagan's heart stopped a beat and it felt like a knife was struck in her heart. But despite what she was feeling, she sat straight up and excused herself from her mum to call upon them. "Hey, Damien. Long time no see!" Teagan inserted as she stood up from her seat. Her hands started becoming clammy, she was nervous about seeing him again after what had happened them. She was at the wrong and she wanted what happened and Asaiah wasn't to blame. "Who is this lovely lady?" Although looking familiar, she just wanted to confirm.

Jessica chuckled lightly at her daughter's annoyance over doing adult things. They were so a like when it comes to stuff like that but Teagan was smart like her dad, Devlin was a good father and he disciplined her greatly. "This is the big world, love. You gotta understand how it works now." She smiled her motherly one. Jessica just wanted a great life and experience for her, she can't give that to her before but now she can. After mentioning the Thanks giving, she sigh a great deal.

That was the most embarrassing thing that happened to her in front of Devlin. She didn't know that her mother wouldn't be civilized with him and her daughter that she shouldn't have invited them. "Don't mind them, sugar. They probably thought y'all went because of pleasing them but it wasn't. Just seeing you and your dad was already a great thanks giving for me. I'm thankful you've accepted me." Jessica will forever cherish that as well. Her brows frowned when Teagan excused herself. She followed her with her gazed and Teagan came up to a guy she knows as well.

She stood up to greet the young man, who's dating her daughter. "Hey, Damien. Nice seeing you here." But her tone lowered when she noticed the other woman holding his hand. Jessica looked at Teagan for answers.

Damien nearly groaned when Dani came in. He kissed her back quickly. "It's fine darling, but this place isn't good. We gotta-" he tried to direct Dani back the way she'd come. He was too late though. He sighed softly as Teagan called out to him. Okay. This could work. He tried to believe that as he turned to face his ex... And her mother. Great. He held Dani's hand a little tighter, ready to pull her behind him if he needed to. Teagan seemed pleasant enough. And her mum... Who seemed more upset than she was.

It didn't take long for him to realize Teagan hadn't quite filled her in on her infidelity. He supposed he could be the one to shatter that illusion. But that just wasn't him. "Hello, ladies." He greeted them both with a smile. He hoped no one noticed it was fake. "This is Danielle. We're here on a date." He looked to Dani with a soft smile before stepping forward and taking one of Jessica's hands in his.

"Ma'am." He started, choosing his words carefully. "I'm sorry I couldn't approach you before. I asked Teagan to let me explain." He sighed dramatically. "Your daughter and I went our separate ways. We just... Weren't right for each other." He offered the women around him a small smile. Now Teagan had a more dignified way out. He just hoped Dani understood.

Danielle stopped short when she heard Damien groaned. She was both confused and speechless as the man started to direct her back to where she just came from - the door. However, just before the pair was able to reach the entrance, a woman's voice called out, halting them. The next thing the woman knew, Damien and Danielle faced, not one, but two women when they turned to the source of the voice. Danielle regarded the younger woman, who was roughly around their age, and from the girl's facial expression, she deduced that this was Teagan. Teagan who cheated on Damien. The girl who caused the man beside her to brave through a downpour just to seek comfort in her. The tightness of the hold on her hand confirmed this.
Green eyes observed the reunion that took place just before Damien greeted them. Always the gentleman, her boyfriend was. She glanced at him, seeing the bland smile on his face. Danielle seemed attuned to his facial expressions that she could already read them easily in a glance. Soon enough, introductions were made and Danielle gave a seemingly triumphant smile when Damien stated that they were on a date. She placed a hand on his arm in response to his sweet smile.
Soon enough, the inevitable happened. As soon as Damien spoke out, the air in the room changed. Danielle felt as if the tension was really there and it took all of her not to correct Damien's words. How diplomatic and gentleman of him. Danielle settled for setting her eyes on Teagan while her hand gently rubbed Damien's arm to somehow calm him. She understood why Damien did what he did. This was sort of a way of closure for both of them, at the same time giving Teagan a way out of the mess she created.

Her nerves wasn't calming at all, yes, she was jealous. But the timing that her mum would be here and Damien, was more dangerous. Her mum finding out what really happen will break her heart. Worst, her mum and dad fighting again over how she was raised. Although, hearing the name of the woman beside him clicked. "Aren't you a Quidditch player. Playing for the Harpies?" She was sure of it but does it matter what she does for a living? Teagan was sure she's perfect for Damien.

By then, Damien was already talking to her mum and the blonde woman was on her guard. "I'm sorry, mum. I didn't get to tell you over thanks giving. We've been over for months now." Teagan went to look back at them and her eyes landed onto Damien's arm where Danielle's hands were rubbing it so gently. The Maxwell's hands balled into a fist, her nails digging through her palms. If Damien would have just heard him before, she would have explained everything. The pain was there, sipping through her hands.

She's didn't want to admit she wanted Damien still but who is she to have such a great guy to love? Teagan excused herself again to go to the restroom. Leaving her mum there with Damien who can spill the beans anytime he wants to get back at her. She locked herself in the restroom, putting a silencing charm as she cried her heart out. Why does everyone I love leaves me? She asked herself but everything seems to point how unlucky she was. First, the guy who actually loves her even with her flaws and second, was the guy who cared but she blew it by hooking up with someone else.

While crying, Teagan tend to her palm wounds from her nails with an episky spell. It hurt a little but she manage not to scream. You can do this, you go out there and raise your head up. She practiced a bit smiling and cleaned her faced. Before departing the restroom, she ended the silencing charm and went out there to face them again. "So sorry, just the nature calling. I don't want to be bother as you two are on a date but would you all care to join us?" She asked politely.

Jessica was out of words knowing what else her daughter wasn't telling her. Damien explained their difference and the mother was understanding, they were too young anyways to hold something forever. Teagan also apologize for not telling her. Although a bit shocked, she put a smile on her lips. "That's alright, honey. I hope you too figured it out and are good friends." Jessica hoped she was right but Teagan's actions was the opposite. She looked on as her daughter walked away to the restroom. If she had practiced Legilimency, she'll know something was up.

"Pardon her. Anyways, I know you two are here for a date? Can I offer you two to join us? I know Teagan will appreciate it." Jessica mainly looked at Danielle with a smile. Looking at her like she was comparing her to her daughter. Why did Teagan broke up with him? This new girl seems a downgrade. Jessica was simply observing but it was true. Once Teagan came back and offered them the same thing she did, "I already asked them, honey. So, would you all join us?" The mother, of course, wanted to know more about the replacement.

Damien watched as Jessica seemed to accept his explanation. Teagan asked if Dani was a Quidditch player, and he left the answer to her. He knew Teagan wasn't as happy as she was pretending to be, but he wasn't going to call her on it. It wasn't his place anymore. He smiled at Jessica as Teagan excused herself. He stepped back, laying an arm lightly around Dani's shoulders. He opened his mouth to respond to Jessica's question, but Teagan returned and offered the same. He chuckled lightly. Like mother, like daughter, he supposed. He turned to Dani. "It's up to you," He told her. It really was. He didn't want to be here, but he couldn't see any reason why not. It was childish to avoid things you didn't like. If Dani wanted to stay, he would suck it up and try to be civil with his ex.

Being a Harpies Keeper allowed Danielle to be observant. Very observant. In just a short span of time, she had observed two things. One, despite the smile Teagan displayed on her face, her hands tightly balled into fists. Two, the older woman, who turned out to be Teagan's mom, had confusion written all over her face. When she was asked about her profession, Danielle nodded. "I am. Keeper position.", she replied brightly."Do you play?", she asked in return. She knew that the female Quidditch team was widely known so it was no wonder that people recorgnize her.
Soon enough, Teagan seemed not to stop her feelings that she excused to go to the bathroom. Danielle wanted to go after her but decided otherwise so as to avoid drama. It did not take that long though because shortly after the older mother offered them to join the women, Teagan returned and also extended the same invitation. Damien's chest slightly shook as he chuckled before turning to her. She relaxed into his embrace before nodding,"Sure,it's fine. As long as you keep your promise of that evening walk later on.", she added with a teasing voice, wrapping her arm around his torso to give a brief hug. She turned to the women and smiled warmly. "If it's not a bother, then we would love to join you." Danielle was not sure it it was a good choice but she would do her part not to disappoint Damien. Hopefully, the other girl would do her part. Surely, she did not want to let her mother know the real story of their breakup, or as Danielle would put it, her infidelity to the wonderful man beside her.

Lunch breaks seemed to be the only time Ben ever had to himself lately, when he wasn't in the classroom he was interning with a local MP. After a particularly hectic morning in the office Ben was meeting some of his colleagues at a nearby bar for lunch and to stratigise for what was going to be an even busier afternoon. There was never a dull day in politics. After making through the surprisingly quiet streets Ben arrived at the bar and made his way inside where he spotted the group he was meeting. He walked past what seemed like a tense scene as he approached his colleagues and took a seat at the table.
