Val had a bit of pent up frustration, not only from not being able to cast spells right, but also a from, in general people. Everywhere he went there was people, in the hallways, the classrooms, the lawn, the lake, the common rooms, the dorms, everywhere. It didn't help that he was a Gryffindor, where most people talked louder than they seemed to think. He just wanted some good alone time, doing something that he liked. During the break, for sure he would bring his drum set, just to have some sort of outlet. Actually, he had a couple of things that he had already regretted not bringing to hogwarts: his skateboard, more clothes and now his drums.

He found an empty classroom, it was a bit dark but he much preferred it that way. There was less of a possibility of being discovered, he took out his homework and put it on one of the less dustier desks, wiping away some of the dust. He pulled a chair and sat on it, taking out a pen rather than a quill. He had an essay to write, something for Potions, but he wasn't too invested in it. Val started to hum a tune, from one of his favourite songs, his mind wandering off to wherever procrastination came to him. Lost in thought, his pen started to tap on the table, his potions essay now gone from his mind. He took another pen and started tapping both of them rather vigorously. The hum had gotten louder, and maybe too loud, but at that moment, he didn't care much. Val was simply enjoying the music, his eyes closed and solely focusing on the beat of the music that he was creating. Too focused maybe, because he didn't notice when the door swing open.

Sometimes even Kiara needed some time to stay alone, she wanted to finish her painting and it wasn't possible if all around was someone who could distract her from her work. Actually she started her work more than a month ago and now it still was just a sketch, it needed some paint and colours, not only simple pencil, even if it looked good that way. Since childhood she was used to thing that landscapes always needed to be colorful not black&white.

Kiara headed through all school with painting and little bag over her shoulder, in which were paints, pencils, brushes and little water container. And maybe it was destiny or just logical thinking, but she also decided that abandoned classroom was perfect for being alone and she was a little bit unhappy that she wasn't the only one, but one person couldn't make that big noise, right? Especially if he was a kid and a musician, she was down to listen to that sort of music. While being sure that he won't be mad that she had joined him, she just sat at the back of the class and listened to him before starting her work. "I am truly sorry to interupt you, but what song are you humming? It sounds heard somewhere," one of the things that were running through her head at that moment was just, please don't throw that pen at me! Because she'd probably do that, if someone had interupt her vibing to random songs session.

Val was just about to get to the chorus of the song when his eyes jolted open as he heard a girl's voice. Val thought he had been alone in the room and was rather annoyed that he had been disrupted. In most cases, Val would've probably been embarassed that someone heard him playing his imaginary drum set, but he was too much in a bad mood. He half considered ignoring her and maybe finding another place to hide, but Val had come first, and he wasn't in the mood to look for another place to go. "If you're sorry, why're you asking?" He said, more rhetorically than a question. He wished the girl had just walk past and ignored him.

Val had a feeling he was being rude, something he was trying to fix but couldn't help it. He didn't have a zip on his mouth, and even if he did, he had a hard time closing it. He sighed out loud, and said, "If you must know, it's Sweet Caroline" He said. Most people didn't know the song, but it was quite popular.

Well, he didn't seem really happy about being disrupted and all Kiara could do was look guilty, it was already to late. And her next thought was that he is always angry or that he is angry with her, or both so she almost forgot what she asked and looked back at her painting. "Because I wanted to know the song?" it sounded not that loud as before, but she anyways answered because she was used to talk and answer even to those things which didn't need answers. How did it work that little boy made fifteen years old girl feel so guilty?

At least next part made her feel as always, excited about everything. "You're joking, right? Neil Diamond? He is amazing, my dad used to listen to him all the time! He is classic and so talanted!" Kiara sounded so excited that she even put her brush away. Her parents used to dance to Neil Diamond song "Song Song Blue" on their wedding anniversary. "Actually you kinda look like younger Neil, but I guess you already heard it before." because she found a lot of paralells between them so she was sure that there'd be more people who noticed that.
