Vicxen Dodge woke up early and refreshed. She had been so excited because she was in the second semester of her sixth year. Then she would be out of school, and she would be away in New Zealand with her brother. Viccy got up, and she put on some jogging clothes and headed out to the school grounds. Then her daily routine comenced. She jogged and did her stretching with very short breaks for a sip of some VitaminWater. After Vicxen felt she was gross and sweaty enough to stop she went back to her dorm, and she got cleaned up. She woke up earlier than usual, so she got dressed into her uniform. Viccy thought that the blue uniforms went terrible with her complextion. She would have very much preffered the uniforms at Hogwarts New Zealand. Black went with everything, but Vicxen did not like the house set up at Hogwarts New Zealand. The house rivalries were stupid, and there were already enough problems at school without different house. She saw it as a invitation for bullies to find easier prey.

Vicxen started to roam the fifth corridor. There was not much to see really. There were very few students really. For how much she walked the halls she could have been made a prefect, but she never understood how she had not. She was well behaved, she kept personal issuses at home, she made good grades, she had never done anything looked down upon, and she was good to the younger grades and with people the general. It was probably because that Durmstrang boy had been following her around like a puppy. He had a reputation from skipping classes, disrespectful behavior, and probably much more that Vicxen had not clue about. She plopped herself down on a bench. Why was a bad boy like Bobby Sanchez interested in such a good girl like her? Vicxen crossed her right leg over her left. This had her thinking.

[sub]Rayn is usually an early riser. His roommates were usually just beginning to stir into conciousness by the time he was out of the shower and making his way down to the common room. It was too early to do anything at this point of the morning and Rayn had a habit of picking a random bench near the first class of the day to relax his mind while waiting for the day to start. Rayn soon found a bench a couple of feet away from his class and promptly sat on it before letting his mind drift off.

He was lost in thoughts when his eyes caught sight of a girl wandering around the place. Aside from the fact that there corridor was largely deserted, it was hard not to notice her as her flawless dark complexion contrasted beautifully against the light blue fabric. Rayn recognized the girl and noted that he had seen her enough times around school to know that she was in the year above him. Her name was Vicxen Dodge and he had exchanged a few brief words with her before and the two of them were on a first-name-basis. He momentarily wondered what she was doing here. There was nothing much to see at this part of the castle, he knew that much thanks to his curious self back in his first year. He made sure to not leave a single rock unturned and he was confident enough to say he knew the castle in and out now that it was his fith year in Beauxbatons.

From the slight crease between her brows, he could clearly deduct that she must be weighing some heavy thoughts in her mind. She had sat down next to him without as much as a greeting showed that she probably hadn't seen him either. Rayn wasn't sure what to do. He did not want to disturb the girl in fear of being rude nor did he want to pry in business that wasn't his. If he were to get up and sit somewhere else, his sudden movement might disrupt her chain of thoughts and could possibly give her the wrong impression that he might be avoiding her. Rayn silently sighed and remained where he sat in hopes that she'd notice him sooner or later.

Vicxen sat on that bench for awhile without noticing Rayn Jung. Thoughts of Bobby and Victor crossed her mind. Victor. Viccy had not really been nice to her brother lately. She ignored all his letters. She only wrote him a letter back telling him how clingy, lonely and immature he was. The letter had been a very long one. Two pages long to be exact. She was sure it was filled with hurtful words, and now she felt bad about sending it. Her brother did not show it, but he was a very sensitive person. He wouldn't let anyone see him cry. He would rather cry all by himself and be a loner. Vicxen did not want to hurt her brother's feelings. It was just she was getting annoyed with all the letters he had been sending her. Now her brother was not talking to her. Even over the holidays when she was home he did not say a single word to her.

Viccy sniffled, and she wiped a tear from each of her eyes. Warm tears had made her cheeks wet while thinking about such a b!tch she was to her only family left. Letting another tear fall she looked around. "Oh sh!t!" she exclaimed when she finally noticed that she was not alone on the bench. She quickly tried to wipe away her tears, but they just fell harder. She quickly stood up and turned to Rayn. She hung her head because she did not want him to see the tears streaming down her face. "I-i'm so sorry Rayn. I don't see you there." she choked on the words. She started to wipe at her tears agin with her sleeve. Rayn and Vicxen did not had a close realtionship with the fifth year. The two were just on a first name basis, so it was not like they had any sort of connection with each other.

[sub]It wasn't long before he got his wish. He heard a slight sniffle beside him and his head immediately snapped up to turned to look at Vicxen. It was then that the girl had notice his presence and apologised for not seeing him earlier with fresh tears streaming down her face. "Hey Vicxen." He greeted her softly and reached over pat her lightly on her back while he keeping his other busy searching pockets for a handkerchief. Rayn wondered what could have gotten the older girl so upset. Rumours get around fast in a school like Beauxbatons but he hadn't heard anything regarding her in awhile. Then again, Rayn was not one to gossip and he preferred not taking joy in other people's misery. In fact, it appalled him how terrible people were these.

"Are you sure it's me? I don't know how you can see through that pool of tears." Rayn joked, his hand still patting her back. He finally produced his handkerchief from one of his pockets and offered it to Vicxen. It took him a second before he realized what he said could be taken differently as an insult. Rayn silently cursed himself for being so dumb. "Smile." he added shortly after, hoping that would somehow counter the damage that he had possibly done. He wasn't good with words, especially when comforting other people. Now that it was all up in the air, all he could do was wait for her reply.

A small, cute giggle escaped from Vicxen's lips. No one had ever tried to cheer her up before because she never showed how broken she truly was. She thought it was quite cute that Rayn was trying to make her feel better. She was not used to it, but she supposed it felt okay. She took Rayn's handkerchief, and she gently patted under her eyes and her cheeks. Viccy was lucky that she did not wear makeup. Otherwise her mascara and eyeliner would make her look horrible! She used Scorgify to clean the handkerchief before handing it back to Rayn. "Thank you." she smiled. She realized that she had used profane language earlier. It was not something she usually did, but she had been very much surprised. She did not know how her underclassmen felt about the use of profane and vulgar words. "I am sorry for my bad language earlier. You had me surprised." she apologized bowing her head respectfully. Vicxen sat back down on the bench and patted the space next to her. It had been awhile since she had a decent conversation with someone other than the professors.

"I am not usually so careless. I apologize for that too." she apologized again and crossed her legs at the ankles. Vicxen was usually very careful about what she did and where she did it. Today she was a bit off. She did have her off days like most students. She wasn't perfect, but she still held herself to high standards. She was not going to go around crying in public. It would be like her begging for attention. Viccy did not like her emotions to show. She always wanted be professional and keep her sassy attitude under control. Vicxen looked over at Rayn. "How have you been doing?" she tried to start conversation. She did not want to be strange and just sit here and think about the ridiculously high standards she held herself to.
