The moment the headmaster concluded the graduation ceremony, Teddy got up from his seat and joined the flood of parents, friends and loved ones who wanted to congratulate their graduate personally. His graduate was Hugo and he looked around for him. He hoped to find him before his family and when he did, he stretched out his arms to embrace and said, "You smashed it! Congratulations head boy!" He said, knowing he wouldn't be able to call him head boy for very much longer. Then he added a little quieter, "And I think you handled that weird thing with June perfectly." Teddy knew they didn't have long until Hugo would need to be with his mums, and Teddy wouldn't want to get in the way of that, but he was just enjoying the moment they did have.

hugo let out a breath he dodnt know he had caught in his chest when the ceromony was concluded. it was over. and despite the interuption on stage, the most terifying thing of the year was done, he never had to give a speech again. within seconds the room erupted from quiet and polite applause to a hubub of people chatting away congratulating each other and celebrating with their family. he got up and turned around one person on his mind who he wanted to see. The person who always was able to make him relax. He didnt have to look far as within seconds teddy was there enveloping him in a tight hug. he wrapped his arms around him and held him tight not wanting to let go as he felt the adrenaline leaving him slightly shaky. "thank you" he replied to somewhere in teddies shoulder. as he congratulated him. as teddy spoke again he smiled. he was sure he wouldnt have been able to handle it before he had met teddy but spending time with him had definatly increased his confidence. he didnt say anyhting instead shifting slightly so that he was able to kiss his boyfriend, and kiss him he did. the adrenaline left over from the ceremony making him brave and making him forget that he was in the middle of a room full of people.

Teddy softened the moment Hugo was in his arms and he held on just as tightly as Hugo did to him. When Hugo kissed him, Teddy kissed him back without hesitation, impressed at how his used-to-be shy boyfriend had gained so much confidence. “Look at you,” Teddy said leaning back and looking at him. Hugo had helped Teddy in many ways, but he could see the influences he had too and that was nice. His voice dropped to be more serious. “I’m proud of you Hugo. You did it.” He leaned back in just enough to kiss him again, not caring who saw this time either.

Hugo knew he should possibly tone down the make-out session a little bit, after all they were sorounded by their classmates and teachers. But as Teddy pulled away even slightly, he felt a pang of something inside him that made him want to kiss him again. he blushed as Teddy said Look at him. he usually would have shaken it off or said something downplaying himself compared to Teddy, but right now, he was feeling pretty special. his blush deepend as teddy said he was proud of him. he rested his forehead against teddys shoulder. "I couldn't have done it without you, Ted. I love you," he said, conscious of the fact that this was the first time he had said those three words aloud, before kissing Teddy back again, this time a little more conscious of where they were and who was around and wishing they were somewhere more private.

Teddy froze for a moment at Hugo’s words, it was nice to hear but he wasn’t ready to declare love back, not yet. Not because he didn’t feel it since he was almost certain he did, but he hadn't yet figured it all out in his own head. He smiled at his boyfriend his hand sliding down to Hugo's hands and leaning in closer so that only he could hear. “You mean so much to me and I have especially loved spending all my time with you this year,” he said, keeping eye contact “I’m so happy it's you, you've helped me more than you know." He pressed a soft kiss on Hugo’s lips, “Come stay with me over the holidays? I want all the time with you as I can get before next year.” It was going to be hard next year but least it was only one year, thought Teddy to reassure himself.

hugo didnt know where the words had come from. He had meant it. He was pretty sure he did love Teddy. but he hadnt planned to say it out loud. He smiled at Teddy's response, though he felt a slight sink in his chest when he didnt say it back, not that he could blame him. he hadn't planned on saying it in the first place. He was glad that Teddy thought he had helped him. he was still surprised at how much spending time with the Gryffondor had helped him in ways that he hadn't even thought he needed help. He kissed Teddy back, a light kiss, before Teddy's comment made him smile. "Yes i would like that. I'm going to miss you next year" he said. Though honestly, he hadn't thought about next year too much, he had been too focused on this year. he let go of his boyfriend and took his hand giving it a squeeze. we should probably go and see my mums. or at least con-grad-ulate a few people."[/b] he said. Looking to see who was around.
