Music Brings People Together

[Athena Holmgaard]

Athena had been in the Conglomerated Arts Room before, but not as often as she wished she would be. She had found a moment for herself and figured it would be nice to pay a visit again. She always loved making music and sing and the piano that was standing there was a great tool to practice. Since Athena was very young her parents had let her choose for an instrument and when the little fingers touched the piano for the first time it was like real magic. Athena had never let it go and had driven her parents and siblings nuts with her endless practice. Her parents had to think through if it was a right decesion to let Athena play the piano. But she had been really becoming good in playing it and was motivated to learn more instruments and write her own music. The blonde noticed when she walked into the room that she was the only one. It didn't matter to her if people would be here and she would play, but singing was something scary for her. Her mother always told her she had a amazing voice but she wasn't confident about that part. It was something she needed to do more in front of people. But it was nice that she could practice her piano a bit. The blonde moved along to the piano and took her writing book out of her bag. She put it in front of her and was gonna practice her own pieces. Athena started playing and wanted to sing along with it to find the words. The blonde felt her fingers going over the piano and started singing soft. She had writed some lyrics but it wasn't done yet.

[Willow Cullen]

willow was still self conscious of her hobby playing the guitar. She had started talking to people about it and even shown fleur some basic chords but it was still something she wasn't used to people seeing her. she was usually the tough laid back girl more of a tomboy than a girly girl. and more likely to be outside having an adventure than inside playing music but most people didn't realise that she actually needed the downtime just as much as she needed the adventure.
the other day she had been in the great hall as some of the girls had been handing out fliers for a tallnt show. she had taken one and hadnt been sure if she should sign up or not. but a couple of days later and a dare from her cousin she had added her name to the list. Chante really knew how to make her do something. she wouldn't back away from a dare. and there beside it was something that still frightened her. letting her guard down and it would be terrifying standing on the stage playing guitar in front of a bunch of witches and wizards. she was okay but she needed to practice her song. well, actually she needed to pick a song. hoping for a bit of inspiration and a change of scenery willow picked up her guitar case that had been magically disguised as a backpack and head down to the conglomerated arts room. she had never been there before but she had heard about it.
she entered the room and could already hear something playing. a soft pretty song on the piano or maybe a keyboard. it was beautiful. how would she and her guitar win the talent show against something like this? she had to pick a song quickly so that she could practice. she then realised that she recognised the girl playing. "Wow Athena. that is beautiful" she said hoping that she wasn't distracting the girl too much.
