Of course, the most difficult part of getting engaged and deciding to move forward in his life with Pia was that he had to move out of his current place and had to move away from Archie. They would still spend time together, he was determined that they do, and knew that Archie would expect as much, but physically packing away everything that had been their life for the last almost decade was hard. Archie was his dearest and oldest friend and though they led different lives now, he would miss waking up to him and miss the nights they spent together. They had been in this place for a while, it really was home to him in every possible way, but it was time for that chapter of his life to end. This was the right thing to do, but it didn't make it any easier to actually do.

Orwell didn't have that much stuff, certainly he had more stuff now than he had ever had before. He'd moved in with basically just his school trunk, and now he had a good few boxes, a lot of them were items that were second hand or well-loved, but that didn't stop it being not that much. They were dividing some items up, and Orwell was letting Archie have anything that Pia already had. He didn't have any attachment to the knives that they used or the glassware. And Orwell knew that Archie didn't care much for the books that Orwell had collected over the years. ”I'm done in the kitchen,” he called out to Archie as he grabbed the box and carried it to the door, where he was able to Sellotape down the top of the box and could move on to the next item.
