Closed Moving Forward

Akihiro was ready for this dance. He had decided that escorting Gwen to the dance would look better than waiting for her at the hall, so he stood in the common room to start with, his arms folded easily behind his back. He held a flower for her in his hand, studying a portrait on the wall as he waited for his date to come down. He had been thinking, and he'd decided that tonight it was time to finally make things official with Gwen. He was handsome, with brilliant grades. He was sure she would say yes. She was beautiful, she looked perfect paired with him, and they had always gotten along well.

Gwen had to admit, going to dances with Akihiro was getting a little predictable. But it beat going alone or having to struggle to find a date, so for now... he was acceptable. She put on a red dress to match the Valentine's team and conjured a bright smile on her face as she descended the stairs into the common room. "Hi!" She said brightly as she approached him. "For me?" She asked, plucking the flower out of his hand playfully. "Thank you!" Sometimes Gwen wondered if Akihiro had some 'perfect date handbook' he got all his moves out of, it was always nice but a little basic and predictable.

Akihiro smiled as Gwen appeared, turning to face her. "Only the best for the most beautiful girl in the school," He complimented her, offering out his hand. "Might I escort you?" He asked, giving her his most charming smile. "You look absolutely breathtaking tonight, Gwen," He complimented her again, trying to win her over with sweet words.
