Cyrus was frustrated with himself. He had lost some of his poems, somehow. He kept them in a folder that he kept in his bag, just in case he ever wanted to work on them between classes or after studying. But the whole folder was gone. Cyrus thought he might have left it in the library last night when he went to bed after studying. He hoped he could find it quickly, because while he didn't mind sharing his poems, they were still deeply personal to him. Especially the ones he had written about all the colors in Sunny's eyes. Thank Merlin he hadn't put his name on them. He had rushed back to the library after realizing they were gone at breakfast, and made a beeline for the table he had been sitting at yesterday. Nothing. Cursing under his breath, Cyrus started looking around the library, looking under other tables and under piles of books. His mind was racing. Where else could they be?

Elise usually didn't spend much time in the library. But she found that it was one of the few quiet places in the whole castle. She wanted to work on some sketches and as much as she loved her roommates they wouldn't help and the art's room was so far away and likely crowded too, she needed some space to think. She let the silence sink into her skin and willed it up into her brain. But as she walked through the rows of books looking for a empty table she stopped short when she heard something crunch under her boot. She looked down and found a few sheets of parchment. She wondered for a moment how they had gotten there, were they abandoned? Or left there on purpose for an innocent bystander like herself? Elise picked them up and flipped through the pages and quickly realized they were poems. She continued to walk as she read and finally she found an open spot. She was purely a visual artist but her love of collage had sent some wheels spinning in her head as she read through them some more. A line here and there stuck out to her and she quickly opened up her sketch book. Methodically she began to tear the paper to isolate the phrases she liked. She tried to be quiet but the library was so quiet it felt like the pages were screaming.

Cyrus walked around the library, looking for his poems while trying not to look too much like he was looking for something. He didn't want anyone to ask what he was doing, or to help him find them. He felt a little embarrassed about this whole thing. It took him a moment to recognize the sound of tearing paper, and it made him stop and look around. It was a sound that just sounded wrong in the library. He hesitated ,then moved towards the sound. He saw a girl he recognized from his house tearing paper. He had seen her draw before, so he figured this was some sort of art project. He was about to move on, when he suddenly realized one of the papers looked awfully familiar. Alarmed, Cyrus stepped closer. "What are you doing?" He hissed, his eyes quickly scanning the papers.

Elise had finished excavating about three phrases she had liked when suddenly there was a boy next to her table and he was hissing at her. She looked up at him and blinked, a little annoyed to have her concentration broken. It took her another moment to realize what he had asked and she looked down at the scraps in front of her. "Oh! I was just working on a new collage." she answered simply. "Did you want to join me?" she asked with a genuine smile. Her friends never full understood her blind drive to create, well except Hazel sometimes. So she was excited to potential share her creative process with someone.

Cyrus' dismay grew as he comprehended the words he was seeing. They were his words. This girl was tearing up his poetry. "What?!" He hissed loudly, then reached down to snatch one of the mostly intact papers from the table. "No— these are mine! Why are you destroying my poems?"
