Tybalt hadn't thought he would attend the Yuleball this year. Not because he hadn't wanted to, but mostly because he could not attend it with B. Nor could he even ask her to attend with him. Ty had not seen her in so long, and he missed her dearly, but even if she had been around they would not have been able to go to the Yuleball together. That was just one of the things they could not do. No one knew about them, so he wasn't exactly able to pretend that he was in some form of committed relationship. He had to act as though he was single and alone. Which really worked out well for the prefect, since he hadn't seen her in so long, it almost felt like he was once again single. The boy was sure that she'd pop back into his life soon. He was sort of counting on it. He missed her, and he wanted her back with him. Just so they could spend quiet nights together in darkened hallways away from the rest of the student body. The boy was fairly certain that he'd found a place where no one would ever be able to find them, but, he hadn't seen her in so long, it seemed almost pointless that now, at this point he had somewhere where they could hang out. Still, this had put a damper on his mood, and hadn't made him particularly interested in attending the Yuleball, though he had in the end decided that would be best for him. So, he had gotten ready fairly quickly in his suit, a new one that fitted him better than the rest which had of course grown too small for his growing frame. He was pretty good, and was sure that this good mood was because good things usually happened at the yuleball. Like was it two years, or one year before when he'd met B, and they had spent that lovely night together. The one when he'd also danced with Rhia. Whom he was always happy to see whenever he did. She was a lovely young Hufflepuff and he was pleased to know her. This year once more, the boy decided that his fortune might be better if he just picked some girl and danced with her. Which didn't really mean he'd pick those in his year. He decided he'd pick any girl who was alone, since they would be the most likely to say yes. They would definitely be much less likely to turn him down.

The Great Hall itself was pretty busy by the time Tybalt reached it. He was feeling pretty tired. Having spent most of the last week studying, despite not having exams until the next term. He was however feeling pretty good about how this year was going. He didn't have the same issues he had had in the last term. Ty found he was actually doing fairly well. It was hard, but he was happy and he knew he would stay happy as long as things went his way. He had a much greater idea now of what he wanted to do when he left school. Which was good, before now, he hadn't had the slightest clue of what might interest him as a career after his years of education within the halls of this school. Tybalt wandered inside and just headed straight for the food. While he'd been studying he worked out quite an appetite and seemed only right to get some food in him before he went to find someone to dance with. He took at a seat at one of the tables fairly close to where folks were dancing, and just hummed along under his breath. In his pocket was the camera which he would be using to take pictures for the yearbook. Just generic photos of Y20 to just scattered within. Nothing fancy but it saved them from using old ones of students that had left a number of years back. He put the camera on the table and dug into the food in front of him, scoffing it down quickly so that he could go back to focusing on what he had really gone to the Yuleball to do. There were, as it turned out plenty of girls who were seemingly without partners, but Tybalt couldn't bring himself to go with them. To go hang out. Instead he just stood away and just took pictures of various things. When he finally sort of felt up to talking to people, or at least one person he would. For now the teen was fairly happy to distract himself from everything, by just taking pictures. It would appear pretty normal too. Most people knew who he was. They knew he was the Yearbook photographer, it wasn't unusual to see him taking pictures. It was the perfect cover for the boy who just wasn't interested in socialising.
