meeting friends in the summer

Minoas frowned as Aspen called him back down on the ground while his head was up in the clouds. By saying that, Minoas hopes of finding something strange or valueable evaporated like the water that would possibly be lying at the bottom of that well. "Don't worry! I'll have everything under control. I've been trained by your kind to be stealthy and silent. Not giving away my location." he tried to calm down Aspen that was looking as if she was losing her patience with him. "Besides, I'm not an adult. Aren't they supposed to be softer with adolescents?" he asked reluctantly. "I'm not even an adolescent yet so it's even better." he sounded more like he was trying to tranquilise himself and not back away because of fear.

He noticed that Aspen was finding his suggestion amusing but he didn't care much. He knew that there was no possibility for him, it was just for the fan. With her go, he darted like an arrow among trees, using his hands to avoid the trees' trunks. He was jumping now and then to avoid sneaky, prominent roots that were awaiting to trip his over. He was preceding for the time being as Aspen was just letting him enjoy it for a while. He could recognise her galloping, muffled just a little by the whispers of the wind in his ears. "I thought that four legs would give you the advantage." he provoked her. He didn't want her to fake his winning or something.

aspen shook her head. then laughed. "well if you are sure you know what you are doing,it may be fun" she said nodding. "That's true we tend to be kinder to foals, i mean children and adolescents, so i am guessing the worst that they will do so long as you don't get in the way of a hunt, or too close to their camp is escort you out of the forest" she said she was only a teenager herself so her herd had been kind to her. her problem was that countless warnings wouldn't change, she may be good for a few days but then she would wander off and start talking to humans again.
as they were racing through the forest, him full speed her at a leisurely trot, she heard him say that four legs would gave her an advantage. "they do, though we don't have to run full pace if there is no need" she said, he seemed to be doing quite well for a human. after a short while they came to the stream her breaking out of the trees a little ahead of him, she went full pelt the few steps towards the stream then jumped clearing the water easily and landing on the other side. "looks like you are pretty good twohoof" she teased. crouching by the water and refiling her bottle.

Minoas saw with the corner of his eyes, Aspen outrunning him leisurely with a graceful gallop. He stopped breathless at the rocky bank of the stream, placing his hands on his knees as he bended his torso to catch his breath. He sat down on a rock close to the running water. He chuckled when Aspen called him a foal and shook his head. "Now you make it sound like a simple excursion to the countryside." he commented on her sudden change on his idea of visiting the centaurs' land. He fully submerged his hands into the cool water and used them to scoop it before bringing it to his lips. He used several scoops with the last one ending on his flushed face.

"Thank you for the compliment." he teased back as drops of water were running down his cheeks. "Bet those hooves won't be much of a use on a rocky terrain." he commented, thinking of the cliffs near the black lake. Probably that little stream was ending at the lake, a nice way to find your way out of the forest, in case you were lost. "Strange, I've used this stream loads of times to drink and I just wondered for the first time from where it comes from." he wondered loudly as he looked at the opposite direction of the waters flow. "Is this your main water supply?" he asked as he let a few drops from the tips of his fingers, to fall and join the running water.
