At this moment, there were far too many people in the Gryffindor Common Room. This made things terribly awkward for Roxan. She didn't like big crowds, and couldn't speak in front of them. So, she took the logical option and left. Well, at least going for a walk around the grounds was refreshing. It cheered her up, and she would often do it after a long library session, or after a bad day. It cleared her head, and made her think about things, reflect on the day that has just gone. This time... it was to stop a light pounding in her head and to avoid some of her housemates. The fresh air was already doing some good, ceasing the noise of a drum kit in her mind. Putting her names into her jeans' pockets, Roxan scuffed the toes of her shoes along the ground. She didn't know why... but she fancied doing something different today. Maybe, she should explore the grounds a little more.

The last time she had done that, it had ended with a trip to the hospital wing. Tripping over some tree roots, landing on her hand and making it swell up was not something Roxan would be doing quickly anytime soon. It hadn't hurt that much, just ached whenever she tried to use it. And it had been her writing hand as well, so she had to get it fixed up. The nurse at the hospital wing really didn't make her stay long. Around ten minutes. She would be more careful this time around, anyway. Or, try to be. To watch where she was walking and all that. Roxan knew that when things happened, they were sometimes meant to happen. Turning her head up to the sky, she smiled slightly. It didn't look like it would rain, even in this Winter season. It seems she managed to get lucky.

Hanna Mitchelle Freecss was the name of childish not-so-little girl who was a bit good at livening up the Common Room. Well, they couldn't blame her. Everyone was stuck in books and just sleeping, and Mitch was not so used to those kinds of habits. Every once in a while, she would grab some random person and just start a game or bring attention to herself just to have fun. Yup, she was a troublemaker, that's for sure. But not so much, there were just some days where she would want to wander around the school, looking at every nook and cranny. And this, was one of those days.

Today's destination? The Lawn. From what rumors say and what she always sees, the lawn is really, really, really big and spacious. And she couldn't ask for anything more than a more spacious play spot. After a quick bath and snack, the young Hufflepuff was already running through the corridors, probably getting attention from professors, but she didn't care. It was not long before she got to the lawn. And as soon as she got there, Mitch couldn't help herself but perform cartwheels and tumbles. She tumbled through the grassy lands and even roll on them. She didn't mind getting dirty. The young girl just wanted to have fun. She looked around and saw that many had companions, except for one girl, about the same age as her. Mitch stood up and dusted herself and skipped her way to the girl. "Hey there! I'm Hanna Mitchelle Freecss!" she said with a friendly smile on her face. "Why are you alone?" she asked curiously and waited for the girl to reply.

Being jolted out her thoughts made Roxan stumble. Regaining her footing, she tilted her head at this new girl... Hanna, was it? She had only just heard her first name, and the question. Her brown eyes wide, she struggled for words. She... Had not been expecting this. She had not been expecting being approached at all. It was surprising. "Um... H-hello." She started, looking nervous. Pulling on the sleeves of her jumper to hide her hands, she tried again: "I'm R-Roxan Fairbrother. Nice to meet you..." Roxan's voice was rather quiet, and she hoped dearly that Hanna heard her.

Confused, she blinked a few times and swallowed. Nobody had never asked her why she was alone before. She wasn't even sure if she knew the answer herself. She liked the quiet, was that good enough. "I don't... Know. I just like the quiet..." Roxan answered weakly, looking down at the ground and tensing up.

It was not quite a shock that the girl was very surprised with what Mitch did. After all, who wouldn't? You're stuck in your own thoughts then somebody shouts out of the blue their name for an introduction. With a mental sigh, Mitch now knew that she really didn't think about her actions much. But, that's just how she is! "Sorry for the surprise!!" she apologized with quite an embarrassed tone present in her voice. Well, it was indeed quite embarrassing, regarding what she just did, but all embarrassment escaped her as soon as the other girl had revealed her name. "Roxan! Pretty name! Nice to meet you too!" she said with pure joy and delight. Was this really the feeling of being able to make friends. It was a nice feeling, and she wouldn't mind having it once in a while.

"You like quiet, huh?" Mitch said, repeating what the girl had just answered to her previous question. And in a minute's time, a childish smile appeared on the Hufflepuff's face. "Well, I hope you don't mind me staying with you," she said as she gave the girl a harmless grin before jumping up and down and around and round. "Cause I'm the opposite of quiet!" she exclaimed, loud enough for anyone near them to hear.

Roxan nodded slightly, in a way of forgiving her for the jump. Calming her heartbeat down from the sudden shock, she breathed a small sigh. Not of distress or annoyance, not like that at all. "It's ok..." She replied, folding her hands behind her back. The, she scratched the back of her head rather nervously. Was it a pretty name? Roxan didn't really know. It seemed quite troublesome, especially how some people pronounced it wrong. Still, Hanna seemed to just want to make friends... that was ok, right?

The Gryffindor nodded. "I do..." Roxan blinked, unsure of what this girl was going to say next. Then, she winced and covered her ears lightly. She wasn't used to loud noises, and they sometimes hurt her ears a little bit. Still, she could try and bare with it. "Please, Hanna! Not so loud!"

Mitch was glad that she was forgiven for the sudden surprise she gave to the girl she just met. After all, that's just how she is, full of surprises, jumpy and bouncy. Cheerful was a nice match most of the time as well. "Would it be okay to be your friend?" she asked in a pleading smile. Being friends with the girl would make her day better, she was making a friend for the first time and she wasn't sure if she was doing it right, but at the moment she was too happy to care.

Hanna Mitchelle managed a smile as her friend told her to not be so loud. She was used to being told that, but hearing it from a friends sounded more welcoming and she was more than willing to comply, but there was a certain condition. "Alright! I promise not to be so loud if you call me Mitch. Hanna's too formal," she told Roxan, it was a pretty selfish request, but then again, Mitch didn't like being called Hanna as it was too formal for her. And she hated formalities.
