Freddie Raska love being a Healer! It was just as awesome as he thought it would be.he had not started carring for the residential patients just yet, but he had managed to meet a ton of Quidditch players. He never knew there were so many cauldron explosions and broom accidents. There were a lot of careless people out there, but Freddie was happy that he was able to help people heal after their carelessness caused some damage. He walked up to the fountain in the middle of the park. Had New Zealand always been this beautiful? He did not remeber his hometown much from when he was little. He had either been at school or locked in his room. Freddie wrapped his long arms around his abdomen. He felt like his scars were able to be seen. He knew it was an irrational thing to feel, but he himself was still healing from the abuse he had been through.

Nadia Kaster was out for a walk in Brightstone Village. She hadn't been shopping in a while and so she wanted to treat herself. She was wearing the clothes that Lisa and Hayden had bought her for her last birthday, which was in June. They had been so good to her since everything had happened. She was definitely very grateful to them for everything they had done to help her. She smiled as she thought about it and stepped along the cracks on the pavement, clutching a shopping bag in her hand. She had bought some cute little outfits and a ten pack bib for Raffy. He was so cute. Tess and Parker had indeed done well.

As she walked she found herself near Takarokaro Park. She smiled, she had been here only once before and that was with her father. With that thought she frowned, she did miss her father, but she doubted he even thought about her anymore. After everything that had happened? It was going to be difficult if she ever ran into him. She didn't know what she would do. She shook her head to clear the thought and suddenly looked up as she noticed she wasn't alone. She smiled towards the figure and walked towards him. It was nice to meet new people every now and then. However as she got closer she noticed that he had his arms wrapped around his torso. Was he in pain? Where was Gabrielle when she needed her?

"Hey, are you okay? Do you need a potion or something?" She was quite concerned for his welfare and she wondered what was wrong with him. She would deal with the fact that he was attractive later.

Freddie was not one to show the pain he felt to others. He could be happy andd imaginative, but most of the time he was quiet and reserved. He did not need to constantly be around people to feel loved. He was actually used to being alone. Whenever someone approached him he was surprised. He did not know that he was interesting enough to catch a person's attention. Was it his tattooed arms and hands? Or was it because of the superb hats he wore? Freddie did not know what others found so interesting about him. He just thought he was regular.

Freddie turned to look at the person who spoke to him. It was a female. She had asked if he was okay. At first he raised and eyebrow in confusion at her question. Then he looked at where his arms were and smiled. He turned back to her. "I am fine, miss. I apologize for making you worry." he apologized to the woman. Naturally he gave a shallow bow to the woman. It was a habit. He always bowed when he apologize. He found that it showed sincerity.

Freddie found that what the woman was wearing was not really park-wear. He rolled his eyes at his wild vocabulary of words. He looked down at her shoes. They looked like the most uncomfortable shoes in the world. Bobby could walk in high heels, but his friend was not into becoming a drag queen. He just loved anything fashionable. "Your shoes look very comfortable." he said. His sarcasm was not very noticeable, but he found sarcasm to be rude most of the time. Freddie was a gentle person.

Nadia smiled slightly as the man proceeded to tell her he was fine. He then bowed. How courteous. She didn't think she had ever run into such a thing before. It was interesting to see behavior such as his. Though she could tell that there was something else. But of course she was not going to push the issue, after all, she did not know this person. Maybe if she got to know him. She was a reporter after all, which, unfortunately, sometimes made her overly curious and just a little bit pushy. Though he didn't seem to be feeling too bad. She placed her hand on her heart and nodded. Her sign of respect and saying, thank-you, I was worried. She had learnt some sign language when she was in Australia last holidays because she had worked with some deaf children. It had been alot of fun. "Oh, I am glad, I had thought you were in some sort of pain." She told him, smile growing a little wider. "I apologise for over reacting though. I think that was a little uncalled for." She added removing her hand from her chest and placing it by her side instead.

She could now see that he had tattoo's on his arms. She didn't normally like tattoo's on people, but for some reason, on this particular person, it was like it was the most normal thing in the world. She stared at some of the patterns and colours for a short time before looking back at his face. He had said something to her. About her shoes being comfortable? Well it depended on the ground she was walking on. Seeing as this ground was mostly dirt and grass, it meant that her heels in variably got stuck. She laughed slightly before answering his question. "Well, sort of. It really depends on the kind of ground I am walking on. But seeing as this is mostly dirt and grass, my heels sink into it. I wasn't originally planning to come to Takarokaro. But I'm here now." She told him, shaking her head at her own mishap. She was usually a good planner, but at this point in time, it really did leave much to be desired.

She looked back at his tattoo's. She wondered if they had any meaning behind them. They seemed like they did, and she hadn't noticed them before. She wondered. "Do they have meaning behind them?" She asked as she nearly went to touch his arm, but quickly pulled her hand back. She hated that aspect of herself. Every time she found something that interested her, she just had to touch it. It was inconvenient at times. Very inconvenient.

Freddie shrugged his shoulders lightly. Her 'overreacting' did not harm him in anyway, so he was not angry at the girl. He actually thought it was very nice that she cared if he was okay. Freddie looked like a tough guy, so people would just walk by him if he appeared to be in some sort of pain, but that was not often. He was good at being secretive about his emotions. He hated that muscles automatically made a person tough. No one, other than Bobby, knew how fragile he truly was."You weren't overreacting. You just read my body language wrong." he corrected her politely. He hoped he had not sounded rude or like a know-it-all. Body language and tone of voice was ninety percent of communication. Reading a person's tone of voice and body language wrong could cause some serious misunderstandings. In this case, it was only a minor one. Freddie was in training to be a psychiatrist, so he had to know information like that.

Freddie smiled. "I know something that can help with that." he said and pointed at the girl's feet with his index finger. Her shoes glowed for a few seconds, but then they stopped glowing. Not only did the spell he cast on her shoes make to where it felt like she was walking in solid ground, but it also cleaned the dirt that was on the heel of her shoes. Freddie looked up at the girl. He did not expected a thank you. He never expected a thank you for what he did. He helped people because he loved doing it. "It should be easier for you to walk in dirt now. Just in case you decide to go somewhere else other than your original destination." he winked at her.

Freddie saw she was looking at his tattoos. Normally, people thought he evil for having so many tattoos. Freddie nodded, his tattoos covered up some of his past. He had them because he wanted to hide all the faded scares on his arms. Freddie had started to get tattoos when he was twelve. He was much more mature than most of his classmates and his adoptive parents had saw that. He held out a arm to the girl. He did not mind her touching his arm. He was used to girls running up to feel his arms while he was at Durmstrang. But, those girls always touched his arms so they could feel his muscles. It did not boost his ego or anything. He just did not mind. "Very few have meanings. Most are there o just cover up scars." he told her. He pointed to a tattoo of a man on a cross. "This one is my favorite. It's Jesus on the cross. Every time I look at it I remember that all my sins are forgiven." he said. Freddie had not done any serious crimes, but he had done things with people that he felt horrible for. He had assaulted a muggle with his friends once, and he had taken all the blame for it. Muggle authorities had said he was going to be in jail for two years, but Bobby and his adoptive parents had reluctantly managed to make a compromise.

Body language. That was what it had come down to. So she had read his body language wrong? That was a first. She some how thought that there was something else behind those words, but she kept her distance for now. They didn't even know each other so it was not her place to ask. Instead she simply nodded and smiled again. She had to admire his actions. He seemed like a decent person. She had not met many of them in quite some time. Though she had not been out anywhere in some time either. Maybe she could get him to let her do a reading one day? She would learn alot about him and it could be a fun and interesting pastime. Not to mention she felt guilty about not completing her home work from a while ago. She shrugged and pulled her bag up her arm, it was slowly losing its place."Well, I am still apologizing. It's just this... thing I do." She told him laughing lightly. It was so true too. She did apologise alot. She wasn't sure why.

Nadia looked down in amazement as her shoes began to glow. How curious. She didn't think she knew that spell. She was going to have to ask in class about that one. How interesting. She took a few steps back to test the shoes and was amazed at not sinking into the ground. She looked back up at the young wizard and smiled. That was a very nice thing for him to do. "Oh, Thank you. I'm not familiar with that spell, or I would have used it. Thank Merlin I ran into you then." She added after he winked. She didn't think she would be going anywhere else, but she might be. Who knew? "I'll have to remember that one. Thank you again."

Nadia sort of felt awkward for running her fingers over the guys arm. But as he said he was covering up some old scars, she realised that he was telling the truth. She could feel the smallish bumps and indentation of skin. She wondered what kind of a past this guy must have had. "Your faded scars... you've never thought of getting them removed? There are potions..." She mentioned, moving her arm away slowly, her expression changing from happy to sad. Nadia too had scars, only hers were all mental. She had only been twelve when everything had happened. At least she was safe. That was the main thing after all. He had a favourite tattoo it seemed, a man on the cross. So he was into muggle religion. Nadia wasn't but her mother had made her read the bible when she was little, so she knew about it. "Muggle Religion? Catholicism? You are not a Pureblood then. Were your parents... muggles then?" She wondered not sure if she was asking something that didn't concern her. Sometimes she didn't understand boundaries. "My mother used to make me read the bible all the time. Well, that was before she died anyway." Nadia left out the circumstances and the fact that her siblings also died. It wasn't really something she was ready to talk about yet. Especially when she had the suspicion of her father being involved any way.

Freddie could see that the girl was curious about how he had responded. He was sure that most of the people she knew would not have reacted the way Freddie did. "I'm currently undergoing training to become a psychiatrist. Open body language is usually a must when talking to patients." he told her. Freddie smiled. He did not apologize often because he did not do things that required him to apologize. He was a very kind guy. He thought before he spoke and did things. He was role model, at least in his professors eyes he was. He needed little correction and disciplinary action to be used on him. Unless it had been a time where he felt too pressured and turned his back on everything, but Freddie was so glad to be out f that phase.

The amazement on the girl's face placed Freddie. He had succeeded in helping her out. It always made him feel good that he was able to make a person's life a little easier. "It is actually multiple spells used together to make that outcome. It is dangerous if you don't know your spells well though." he informed her. I was one of those extra things the professors at Durmstrang tattooed into their students head. Know your spells competitively. Freddie had an idea of why they said competitively instead of well. If someone ever got into a duel, they could not just be good. They had to be competitive in order to win the prize or avoid death. Durmstrang always gave worst case scenarios, so students wouldn't take magic for granted or lightly. "It's nothing special, really." he said and looked at his feet. Freddie always tried to be humble. He did not what to get conceited and have God humble him because he was sure that would be embarrassing.

Freddie nodded. "Of course. The potions made me really sick though, and the scars always ended up coming back. It's not really explainable." he explained. Her touch was soft and gentle. He resisted his urge to quickly pull his arm away from her. She was a very curious person. To her it was like he was investigating. Freddie noticed how she help back questions and curiosities. It took a lot of self-control to hold back some of your personality for another's sake. It was admirable. Freddie placed his hands into his pockets. Freddie shrugged. "No. I'm Christian, and it is more of a relationship than a religion." he corrected her gently. It was complicated how he was introduced to God. To other it was complicated. He remembered the first time he explained it to Bobby. His best friend had been so confused. "My mother was a pureblood and my father was muggleborn, but they did not believe in God, clearly." Freddie added the last bit to himself. "My adoptive parents did though, and they both are mixed blood. I never questioned why because at that time in my life I really leaned on God for comfort." he told her. He did not want to go into extreme detail on why. He had left it out in the open for the girl to assume he had too much of a beautiful childhood. Whenever he was around people that had deceased parents he always felt they were lucky. As a child, Freddie wished that his parents would die just so that the abuse would stop. Now, it was different. He did not harbor as much hate in his heart now like he did then. "I do hope your mother is resting in peace." he said. Freddie was not sure where his parents even were. He did not know if they were dead or alive. He didn't know if they had started a new family or what. "I don't know where my really parents are."

Sometimes Nadia knew she could be very... insufferable, she was often curious and asked lots of questions, it was part of her Reporter nature. She liked asking questions and she was good at getting answers from people, not that she was ever rude, she just seemed to ask the right questions. "A Psychiatrist? That sounds really interesting. I want to be a Journalist when I Graduate at the end of the year. I hope I get the grades." She said, smiling openly and flicking her hair over her shoulder. She was sure she would always have her reporters instinct. "I'm on my school newspaper, though it is sort of like an interview and respond piece. My Uncle works as the advice Columnist. It's a little funny actually." Sammy and Nadia's relationship was a bit difficult to understand sometimes. Due to the fact that she was adopted by Lisa Kaster, Sammy's sister, she had become his niece, even though he was two years her junior, but they had been friends for a long time before. Some things were just better left unsaid.

She then listened as he explained about the spell. So it was a multiple spell cast then? That is interesting indeed. She hadn't learned to do any multiple spell casts. She wondered where he had learned them. Though it wasn't really that much of a big deal. As long as she could now walk in her shoes, she was happy as could be. Now she didn't sink into the ground. Awesome. "I can see how that would be a problem. The other day it took me about four goes to try and turn my ears into goat ears. That was an experience and a half, let me tell you. Were you any good at Transfiguration at school?" She asked him. Considering he said he was currently training, she got the feeling he was no longer in school. That was cool. She couldn't wait to Graduate. Though she was scared about finishing school. The better part of her life was spent there. That was amazing. "Well I still appreciate the thought, so it means alot to me."

He mentioned that the potions made him sick. That seemed fair enough. That was why his scars were still there then. Though she couldn't really understand why his scars had simply come back. It was kind of confusing but she guessed that there was really nothing that could be done about it. Clearly he had done the next best thing and covered up his scars with tattoos. They were all really interesting. She would never get one for herself, but she wasn't against them on this person. They almost seemed to suite him actually. "I guess not." She didn't really care about the potion or any of the other stuff. She was only wondering why he hadn't used a Potion, now that she knew, she was kind of sad for him. Though she was interested in the way he was talking about Christianity. She had never really thought about it before, but he made it sound interesting. A relationship, not a religion. His parents, it was something she was surprised to be told. Which was weird as she was usually able to get almost anything out of people. Her determination and perseverance usually helped with that. Though she didn't really know what his home life was like, but she could guess it wasn't really very pleasant. "Thanks, about my mother I mean, she was the friendliest woman you could ever meet. She was a muggle." She told him. shaking her head. "I don't know where my dad is... I was adopted when I was sixteen, but I had been living alone at twelve." She had never told anyone that. What was up with this guy. Was he profiling her? Oh well. She didn't mind. "I'm Nadia by the way. Nadia Kaster." She told him, holding out her hand. Though they were likely past that already.

freddie felt a water ballon of happiness burst inside fo him when the gilr said she was graduating soon. He giggled.freddie's laughter was deep and powerful, but his giggles were like crackles of soft lightining. "Graduation is so much fun! For me it was a little stressful because I had to prepare a speech, since I was the Head Boy, but I am very excited for you!" he told her happily. Freddie had spoken quickly because he was super excited. He felt like jumping around like a ballerina, but he withheld himself. "Your Uncle goes to school with you?" he asked with a confused look on his face. He was imaginig a old man at, but then he started to imagine someone younger. Freddie always thought it would be awkward if she had an uncle younger than her. Freddie would never be an uncle because he did not have any siblings.

Freddie nodded. "Yes, I had to be in order to have my current occupation as a Healer." he told her. Freddie always tried to speak gently and softly. But, his sentence had came out a bit rough.Whenever he talked about his job he tended to sound rough. He did not know why. That was just how he was. "The grades you get this year with be really important, so don't get distracted." he advised her and smiled. Freddie was a very goal oriented person. He had goals and he would try and avoid getting stopped by rocks in his path. As long as he kept his faith in God, his road would be smoother than silk.

Freddie nodded.he was sure the girl's mother was a sweet lady, or had been. She was very sweet, so Freddie thought she was interesting. He was glad that she knew where she wanted to go in life. There weren't many people their age that did. The girl introduced herself as Nadia. What a beautiful name. "Freddie Raska." he introduced himself and shook Nadia's hand firmly. He also made sure to give eye contact. He had not noticed that her eyes were a pretty blue. He hoped she wouldn't ask if his name was just Freddie because it was. His parents weren't very smart in picking out his first name. His middle name was perfect though. It meant 'long stone' and he was a tall person.
