Emalia carried A History of Magic folded between her crossed arms as she made her way towards the Lawn. She had just finished her first week of classes, and she was exhausted. The Ravenclaw knew it would get easier to find classes and to be more confident around the Castle, but at the moment she was feeling a little down. Emalia had learnt to survive with little to none human companionship the previous year at the Half Way House while her brothers attended school. It had been lonely to begin with, but definitely freeing. The brunette now knew how to cheer herself up without having to rely on someone else which was something Emalia was incredibly grateful for.
The September weather had cleared up nicely, yet there was still a damp feel. Spring was on it's way to Hogwarts New Zealand, and Emalia enjoyed the fact that she was able to get out in the cool air, and read a book undisturbed. Having already read quite a bit of the book, Emalia opened the borrowed library book to Chapter 5, Medieval Times. She found history extremely interesting, and was definitely looking forward to the chapters about Voldemort. Em didn't know a lot about him, but figured she would learn when she had her History classes. It was a subject Emalia knew she would excel in, without trying hard. Transfiguration would be hard, she knew that, probably herbology as well, as it didn't interest her as much. The chapter was a short chapter, just about the Kings and Queens, and places in the old days. She loved that women were able to do things that men were; equal status and rights. It made her proud that women were able to do what they wanted - they could go out hunting, swords-work, the works. The chapter finished quite quickly, but Emalia supposed she'd have to get a specific book if she wanted to learn more about it.
