Luna Paramore was scrambling down the stairs of the tower in quite a hurry. She had misjudged just how long it would take to do her costume, the actual putting it together had been quite easy it was the charms on her hair and head that had taken so long. Even with nerve easing from Arianna as she pointed the wand at her own head it was like pointing a gun at her head, who knew what would happen? Either way she had finally gotten it all together and fixed her bright red hair, longer especially for the costume and piled atop her head. Patricia was surely waiting on her now, her clock had told her she was about fifteen minutes behind and with that she skidded down the several sets of stairs barefoot with her shoes bouncing against one another in her hands, she would go in with her best friend Pat and meet Angus later on in the evening. As she made it into the entrance hall it would seem Pat was running late too so she took this chance to put on her shoes and catch her breath. She sure was a comical sight.

Things just didn’t want to go right for Patricia today. First of all she woke up late and because it she automatically was behind on everything else all day. Thankfully she had no classes today so she didn’t have to worry about that but with the Halloween Feast in the afternoon she had a lot of prep to do. She had spent most of the day on her hair. While she simply could have used a muggle wig she wanted to practice some of her magic she had changed it by magic. There was a trial and error stage but once that was over and done with and Patricia was happy with her hair the rest of the outfit was easy. The make up was extensive and she had to keep referring to a picture she had of who she was dressing up as to make sure she got it right.

As she was applying her make up she couldn’t help but laugh to herself at the thought of Luna’s make up, knowing it was worse. She loved the idea that she and one of her best friends were co-ordinating their outfits this year; they were both going to look so good. After putting on the over the top dress she added her jewelry and put on her shoes, with one more look in the mirror she was done. Checking the time she knew she was late and thankfully her dress was long enough to cover her feet so she was able to get down to the Great Hall quicker. In no time at all she had arrived just outside the Great Hall and when she entered it she took a few seconds to take in the splendour of it all, extravagant as ever. Looking around the Hall for Luna it didn’t take Pat too long to find her friend. With a smirk on her lips she said, “Your Majesty.”

Luna had just slipped on her left shoe when she heard the familiar sound of bare feet slapping against the cold floor seeing as she had been the source of the noise not even minutes earlier. She turned around, though not too quickly as to not disturb her bulky dress too much and smiled at the sight of her, now white blond best friend. As different as the girl in front of her looked from normal Luna knew she must look ten times more odd in her red queen getup. Neither had had too much of an opinion on who got to be which queen so Luna had rolled a pair of dice and upon getting an odd number she found herself dressing up as the Red Queen which suited her just fine. It was so odd to look at her reflection now that she was all made up and her head felt like it was about to fall off of her shoulders. Luna couldn't help but snicker a bit before giving a very small nod towards Pat and countering with "Your Highness" before letting her lips play into a smirk.

Patricia, while trying her hardest to keep a straight face, couldn't keep it for too long as soon as Luna had turned round to face her. Once seeing a full view of her best friend in her Red Queen outfit she knew that they had made the right choice in doing this for Halloween. It was just good luck that they both knew about Alice in Wonderland having come from a form of muggle background. Laughing after a small bow out of respect for 'The Queen' before her Patricia broke out into a fit of giggles. "You look amazing Luna!" Patricia said as she put on her heels, rising her up a few more inches. Even though it wasn't that much it gave her a height, not that she was short at all, it made her feel even more regal. "So what shall we do first to get this party started?" she asked with a huge smile. Halloween was always a fun time but she wasn't sure if she'd ever be able to out do this costume next year; her final year at Hogwarts New Zealand - it was a scary and sad thought and one she didn't want to think of tonight.

Luna let out a small squeak as she almost didn't regain her balance, damn; maybe going the whole nine yards the blowing her head up a bit hadn't been the best idea. "You do too Pat! I must say I'm a bit jealous right now, you don't look like you're about to topple over." she told her friend with a laugh before letting out a huff. "Screw it, I'm going to derive from the picture a bit, this is too bloody uncomfortable." she muttered before pulling out her wand from it's resting place hidden deep within deep folds of fabric and returning her head to it's normal size though her hair was still comically large. "Ahh much better." she said more to herself than Pat before putting a bit of thought on to what the pair would do. "Well, we could always throw things at our uncles." Luna joked looking over at the pair, both oddly enough dressed like cowboys. "You have to wonder if they planned that." she added with a snicker before reaching into the small pouch she had filled with candy from a nearby bowl. "Want a piece?" she offered, holding the pouch out to her friend.

Patricia, while she found the situation funny, she leaned forward a bit when she saw her friend stumble to try and help her, but thankfully she didn’t fully loose her balance; a night in the hospital wing was not how she envisioned the night. Patricia giggled almost evilly when Luna voiced her jealously. Patricia had to admit she had drawn the short straw in the whole thing, but it was still funny. “If it’s any consolation, it does look good on you.” Patricia told her friend with a semi serious look; it did look good just not something you’d want to live with forever. Watching her friend take out her wand and her head starting to decrease in size Patricia began to shake her head lightly in jest, “For shame Luna! For shame!” Of course she wasn’t being serious, having your head that size could not be easy.

Patricia full out laughed when Luna suggested what they could do to get the party started. Patricia haven’t even seen her uncle but when she did she could help but feel her pure white cheeks grow warmer, thankfully the make up was so thick no one could see it. “That just isn’t right.” she said shaking her head with a lace of laughter. “Although if they start to dance I may have to butt in a shoe them some real line dancing.” she said with a wink, not really sure if either of the pair of cowboys knew what line dancing was let alone how to do it. “I don’t think either of our uncles are smart enough to come up with that. Anywho I don’t know mind uncle Zhefarovich doing anything like this..if it was dad on the other hand.” Patricia shuddered at the thought of her dad dressed up in a silly costume and trying to dance or anything remotely out of character for him, although she couldn’t help but laugh at how wrong it would look. “Oh yes please.” Patricia said reaching into the bag of candy. “So where’s Angus?” she asked.
