Faxen Lowart slipped the matching set of bracelets onto her thin wrist before looking at herself in the long mirror in her bedroom. She was wearing a tight fitting long skirt with a black crop top. The top had a revealing neckline and stopped several inches above her skirt, leaving much of her midriff exposed. Her brown hair was tousled and fell loosely down past her shoulders. The slender brunette had picked out her outfit very deliberately and intentionally as she was seeing Enzo Cavell tonight. Faxen wanted to look appealing to Enzo. She had been a child when they first met, awkward and scrawny. So much had changed since then. Faxen had grown up and graduated. She had loved and had her heart ripped apart and then put back together. Enzo had been patient and supportive as he pieced her back together. The twenty year old girl had not a clue what was going on between the two of them. Something had shifted though after their vacation to a tropical paradise. They had been out several times together which always seemed to end up with the two of them fooling around but not sleeping together. They weren't dating, but they weren't exactly not dating. It was a complicated situation.
Faxen wasn't sure if Enzo had romantic feelings for her or if it was just a friend with benefits thing. He could be so hard to read these days. One moment he was so close to her, and then next thing she knew, she didn't see him for a month. Faxen understood that being an Auror he was constantly busy, but she wished he would make more time for her. For all she knew, he was still seeing other girls. In fact, it was highly likely, and it wouldn't surprise her although it would not please her. It wasn't as if they had discussed being exclusive, and she knew Enzo had a weakness for females, especially the gorgeous ones. Plus, it was highly unlikely that Faxen would tell him about seeing Dymetris and all that had transpired. She didn't want to discuss that with him. He would be concerned that she would digress back into a state of depression when the opposite was true. Faxen felt better after speaking to Dymetris, less guilty for the part she had played in abandoning him. A part of her would always love him, but she had not fallen apart at the sight of her ex-boyfriend. Somehow, she didn't think Enzo would be pleased to know that Faxen spent time with Dymetris. Of course, Enzo still knew that she went out frequently to clubs with her friends. Though, Faxen didn't typically go farther than dancing with these guys. She would allow them to buy her drinks and flirt, but not touch. Faxen was the loyal type. For her, it just felt wrong. She only wanted to kiss Enzo. Faxen had to admit she had feelings for Enzo, strong feelings that could not be easily forgotten. It was more than just casual dating for her. She had loved Enzo as her best friend for so many years. Now that she had more than platonic feelings for him, it meant more. Faxen was treading a very dangerous line. It would be all too easy for her to toppled over.
Faxen knew that Enzo would be here shortly. He had told her that he was coming over, but he had not said if he was going to take her out or just hang out at the apartment with her. So, she had dressed as if they were going out. Her outfit was slightly provocative as she would wear to a club. It was early fall. If they did go out, she would need a jacket. Faxen made her way to the kitchen, putting away an empty wine glass. It was only moments before she heard a knock on her door. The slender brunette smiled as she made her way over, flinging open the door. There stood Enzo. Her heart beat quickened at the sight of him. Faxen grinned and raised up on her tiptoes to kiss him gently on his lips as was her habit these days. "Hey you." she said in a greeting. Faxen stepped aside to let him into her apartment, shutting the door firmly behind him. "What do you have in mind for tonight?" she asked curiously.
