Faxen Lowart slipped the matching set of bracelets onto her thin wrist before looking at herself in the long mirror in her bedroom. She was wearing a tight fitting long skirt with a black crop top. The top had a revealing neckline and stopped several inches above her skirt, leaving much of her midriff exposed. Her brown hair was tousled and fell loosely down past her shoulders. The slender brunette had picked out her outfit very deliberately and intentionally as she was seeing Enzo Cavell tonight. Faxen wanted to look appealing to Enzo. She had been a child when they first met, awkward and scrawny. So much had changed since then. Faxen had grown up and graduated. She had loved and had her heart ripped apart and then put back together. Enzo had been patient and supportive as he pieced her back together. The twenty year old girl had not a clue what was going on between the two of them. Something had shifted though after their vacation to a tropical paradise. They had been out several times together which always seemed to end up with the two of them fooling around but not sleeping together. They weren't dating, but they weren't exactly not dating. It was a complicated situation.

Faxen wasn't sure if Enzo had romantic feelings for her or if it was just a friend with benefits thing. He could be so hard to read these days. One moment he was so close to her, and then next thing she knew, she didn't see him for a month. Faxen understood that being an Auror he was constantly busy, but she wished he would make more time for her. For all she knew, he was still seeing other girls. In fact, it was highly likely, and it wouldn't surprise her although it would not please her. It wasn't as if they had discussed being exclusive, and she knew Enzo had a weakness for females, especially the gorgeous ones. Plus, it was highly unlikely that Faxen would tell him about seeing Dymetris and all that had transpired. She didn't want to discuss that with him. He would be concerned that she would digress back into a state of depression when the opposite was true. Faxen felt better after speaking to Dymetris, less guilty for the part she had played in abandoning him. A part of her would always love him, but she had not fallen apart at the sight of her ex-boyfriend. Somehow, she didn't think Enzo would be pleased to know that Faxen spent time with Dymetris. Of course, Enzo still knew that she went out frequently to clubs with her friends. Though, Faxen didn't typically go farther than dancing with these guys. She would allow them to buy her drinks and flirt, but not touch. Faxen was the loyal type. For her, it just felt wrong. She only wanted to kiss Enzo. Faxen had to admit she had feelings for Enzo, strong feelings that could not be easily forgotten. It was more than just casual dating for her. She had loved Enzo as her best friend for so many years. Now that she had more than platonic feelings for him, it meant more. Faxen was treading a very dangerous line. It would be all too easy for her to toppled over.

Faxen knew that Enzo would be here shortly. He had told her that he was coming over, but he had not said if he was going to take her out or just hang out at the apartment with her. So, she had dressed as if they were going out. Her outfit was slightly provocative as she would wear to a club. It was early fall. If they did go out, she would need a jacket. Faxen made her way to the kitchen, putting away an empty wine glass. It was only moments before she heard a knock on her door. The slender brunette smiled as she made her way over, flinging open the door. There stood Enzo. Her heart beat quickened at the sight of him. Faxen grinned and raised up on her tiptoes to kiss him gently on his lips as was her habit these days. "Hey you." she said in a greeting. Faxen stepped aside to let him into her apartment, shutting the door firmly behind him. "What do you have in mind for tonight?" she asked curiously.

This was going to be fun. The wizard entwined his fingers, resting his chin on both hands. He couldn't figure out what came over him to agree to visit Faxen tonight, but all he knew is that he wants her tonight, all by himself; no distraction or anything. For the past few weeks he tried to control himself around her but he just couldn't, no one could blame him after all. Who could resist a gorgeous girl like her and when all these years he was thinking what it would be like to actually kiss her and he finally did. What happened during their vacation was different that anything he could imagine, he could even still feel her lips on her. How he wanted her badly, and how he still wants her. Merlin knows how he couldn't keep his focus on his work, even his fellow aurors have noticed. It made him hate himself, he wanted his best friend at the same time he didn't wanted to jeopardize their friendship. But it felt good, he felt good whenever he was with her. He didn't want to admit that he might be falling for his best friend, Faxen Lowart. The only girl he never dated, the girl he stood by as a friend and nothing more. Man, he'll surely hate himself if he screw up their relationship.

Enzo faced the mirror, he looked dashing as always. His new hair cut justifying his jaw line, damn he looks great. He wanted to look great, for Faxen. He stood there for a few minutes, trying to think what would happen today. Would he dare to touch her again, how he wanted to kiss those precious lips of her. It took him a few minutes to fix himself, to actually fix himself. He didn't do this during his casual dates, even when wanted to just hook-up. Speaking of hooking up, it's been almost a month since he did so. How did he survived that long? Taking one last glance at the mirror, Enzo grabbed his coat and left his apartment. Next stop, Faxen Lowart's apartment. It's been long since the last time he visited her, usually they would just go outside and have lunch or a dinner; just the two of them. He looked at his watched and he just apparated just in time for their usual get together. He stood there a bit anxious to see her once more, it's been weeks after all. "Here goes nothing." he mumbled under his breath and pressed the buzzer or whatever it is. Soon he was upstairs, in front of Faxen's door. Shaking both of his hands and running his hands towards his hair. Why is it all of a sudden he felt shaky?

Knocking three times at her door, Enzo waited for the door to open. Just as he was about to greet her, he was left deaf and mute. Woah, she is indeed gorgeous. She stood there, making Enzo bedazzled. The whole package was there in front of her, Faxen showing some skin made his heartbeat skip. Followed by Faxen landing a kiss on his lips, now that made him more speechless. Play it cool. He keep on repeating himself. "Hey gorgeous. Look at you!" he told her as he reached for her hand and twirled her inside the room. As the door shut he got a better look at her, his eyes kept locked into hers. "How about this for starters?" he couldn't help himself and took a step forward and kissed Faxen, his lips stayed on hers for long minutes. Kissing her passionately was endless, he couldn't let go; both of his arms wrapped around her waist.

When her caramel eyes met his, Faxen felt butterflies in her stomach. She was glad to see him, but it was more than that. She felt as if she could breath again. She felt complete. The auror looked as handsome as ever. Enzo had been her friend for so many years now, and she had stood on the sideline of his life, watching other girls parade in and out of it. When Faxen had been younger, it had made her jealous that they would try to steal his attention while they were out. So much so that she often pretended to be his girlfriend when they would approach Enzo. She knew what other girls saw in him. He was drop dead gorgeous with a fit, trim figure, but Faxen knew that Enzo was more than that to her. Enzo was independent, brave, daring, confident, and protective of her. Faxen felt safe whenever he was with her to watch over her. The only thing that worried her about Enzo was that he would not stay faithful to her. Faxen had never known him to stay with any one girl long where as she wanted some sort of commitment. Most of all, the brunette was afraid that she would lose her best friend. He was the most important person to her, outside of her family. She couldn't lose him too.

The brunette laughed as Enzo took her hand and spun her back into her apartment. It pleased her that he was slightly stunned by her appearance. It wasn't an easy thing for a girl to do. Faxen grinned at Enzo as she shut the door. The look in Enzo's eyes made her shiver with nerves and excitement. There was something in that look that made her feel as if she was the only one that existed to him. Faxen didn't have time to respond to his question before he gathered her up in his arms. She was acutely aware of every place on her body that his hands touched. Faxen melted into Enzo's kisses, unaware of anything but the two of them. The building could have been on fire for all she knew. Faxen's hands wrapped around his neck; her fingers entwined themselves in his hair. The slender girl didn't know what had brought on this passion from him other than the fact that he hadn't seen her in almost a month. Still, she had a feeling that he been seeing other women, or at least he had hooked up with them. Faxen wasn't sure that self control was something Enzo knew when it came to beautiful women. Yet, the brunette couldn't help her feelings for him even if she had no idea what exactly was going on with them.

Faxen broke away from him, leaving just a few inches of space between their faces. "So, you want to stay here then?" she asked with a sly smile on her face. "I'm really glad to see you." she told him, placing her palm on his face. She meant every word. She had missed Enzo terribly.

Enzo's eyes stayed on the gorgeous girl in front of her; he couldn't persuade his thoughts as he kept on staring at Faxen. They've been friends ever since but these past years time made Faxen bloom into a beautiful lady she is now. Wow. It took him that long to realize that such beauty has already been found. He bit his lower lip, as he inhaled the same air she was exhaling. The fact that he saw her as a friend and nothing more but now everything started to change, Enzo started to notice the things that no one would even notice. The dimple she had on her left cheek, the way she smiled when she likes a certain joke and how she plays with her long lovely fingers. How he adored those simple things and those things made him crazy, crazier. There are some days when it worried him, that what could possibly happen ruin their friendship. Will it be worth it in the end? What exactly are they now? It was sure that he liked her more that he could ever imagine.

Something inside of him was starting to react, the feeling made him excited. Their kiss would have ended by now but he didn't want to stop and it was obvious neither did she. When Faxen broke of the kiss, he smirked and took a step backward admiring her, every bit of her. Man, does she look striking. "The pleasure it mine, really." He replied as he stood there, not knowing what they’ll be doing next. Enzo's eyes reached out for Faxen's, he slowly cupped her cheek, both of their noses touching. "I'm sure you do." A hint of cockiness at his words, then without waiting he grabbed her arm and caught her into his arms. He hugged her, smelling her hair and then her neck, it drove him crazy. "So, what do you have in mind for tonight? Tell me anything you want." His voice husky, and at the end of his last word, Enzo left a kiss on her daring neck.

The brunette couldn't imagine a place that she would rather be than right here in Enzo's arms. He had always been there for her through the good, bad, and ugly. The pair had spent many a night laughing and joking until the morning light broke through the windows. He had sat up with her all night as she cried into a pillow. The auror had been there countless nights to tuck her into her bed after she had more than too much to drink. Enzo had helped her write and perfect her music. They might have had their fights in the past, but they always made up sooner or later. Faxen knew beyond a doubt that Enzo cared deeply for her and that he would do anything for her if she only asked. All of that was exactly what Faxen needed in her life. It was hard to believe that it had taken her all this time to realize it. Maybe the brunette had a crush on him before Dymetris, but now it was something more than a crush. She wanted him. More than she wanted anything else in the world right now.

Faxen smirked at the incredibly handsome man in front of her as he took a step away. She put a hand on her hip as she watched him admire her. She knew that look in his eye. Faxen had seen it before, just maybe not pointed at her. He wanted her, too. Faxen smiled coyly as he caressed her cheek gently. Her eyes fluttered shut as their noses touched. A gasp escaped her lips as he pulled her in close. Faxen felt Enzo's warm breath on her skin. His lips pressed against her neck. She could barely concentrate on what he was asking her. Faxen wrapped her arms around his neck, feeling his strong arms around her. Her caramel eyes gazed into his with desire. "I think I can show you better than I can tell you." she whispered to him. She kissed him deeply, melting into him. Slowly, Faxen moved her hands to the jacket he was wearing. She tugged it at it, sliding off of him and to the floor.
