Isaac was just leaving class when he decided to get some food. He had skipped breakfast because he was going to be late so now his stomach was demanding he eat. Usually Isaac liked to go back to his dorm room to change out of his uniform but today he was too impatient for that so he just headed straight for the Great Hall. Hey, a growing boy had to eat right?

Isaac walked past the other House tables as usual and took a seat at the Slytherin table. As typical Slytherins were, a lot of them kept to themselves, with the occasional cluster of friends sitting together, but mostly they all kept to each other. He found it a bit funny how they were all in the same House and they were supposed to 'unite' and hate members of the other Houses yet the most rivalries always happened to be within two Slytherins. Isaac chuckled to himself at the thought and reached over for a bread roll, biting into it right away as he began filling his plate up with food.

Sighing to herself softly, Ariah was growing extremely tired of looking at her uneaten salad that sat right in front of her, earlier she was hungry for vegetables but as soon as she managed to get a hold of some she decided she wanted some salted sunflower seeds instead and ignore the food in front of her. "Maybe Sparks would like some of the veggies." The poor rabbit must get tired of his bland old food that she always gave him so she decided she would surprise him with a treat for later when she actually returned to her Dorm Room for more than a couple of minute's at a time. However there was one thing she wanted to eat before she wrapped it up, a small cherry tomato was looking particularly yummy to her and she pulled her fork close so she could snatch it and eat it before she changed her mind.

"Gotcha!" Ariah swiftly tried to stab the ruby tomato with her fork but thanks to her luck the tomato ended up getting knocked off her plate and into the air, right into the direction of some boy her age that had just sat down to get some food to eat. Gasping she stood up and had her mint green eyes look at the boy with worry, she prayed that the cherry tomato would not hit him at all and simply land near him or something.

Isaac began filling his plate with food, his favorites being the turkey that the House Elves made and forming it into a turkey sandwich with the works. As he reached over for some macaroni and cheese, he saw something flying towards him. Isaac ducked out of the way and thankfully avoided the flying object; but it wouldn't have mattered anyway because it didn't reach him, it only landed as far as his plate. The problem was the way it landed on his plate, or his fork rather.

The small ruby tomato, as he now noticed it was, bounced on the end of his fork which caused it to fly upwards and fling some mashed potatoes in his hair. As if that wasn't bad enough, after the mashed potatoes landed in his hair (and the floor), the pointed ends of the fork jabbed his forehead. "What the--?!" he said, annoyed. To add insult to injury, after the small tomato was done making his fork bounce and hit him, it then bounced up again from the spring the fork had caused and it hit him right between his eyes. "What the hell?!" he exclaimed again, this time finishing his sentence.

Ariah watched the whole scene before her and could seriously not keep a straight face on, who seriously would have thought that a tiny little tomato could cause such problems for someone. Covering her face so no one would see her laughing she tried not to let it be seen that this was her fault at first because that poor boy definitely did not look all that happy with what had just happened. "Teehee, oh my god that was too funny!" She said aloud as she continued to try and hold it her laughter, she probably sounded and looked so rude to him right now. It wasn't until she saw the mashed potatoes in his hair did she realize that she was probably being the largest jerk in the world and begun to feel really bad for him. Ariah immediately stopped her laughing and stood up from where she was sitting so she could make her way over to the boy, she could at least try to be pleasant without laughing at him.

"I am soooo sorry, I totally didn't mean for that tomato to fly at you like that." Ariah said, a small apologetic smile was very visible on her face as she tried to appeal that she was feeling sorry for what had just happened to him. Her mint green eyes surveyed everything that had happened and she couldn't help but find it extremely awkward that her tomato had caused such a mess without her even trying for it to do so. "Here, do you need any help?" Ariah held up a napkin she had brought over to attempt and help him clean up so he wouldn't get in trouble and she would hopefully be forgiven for attacking him with her food on accident. Ariah had just gotten to this school and she felt she already had enough enemies at this school because of her fondness for muggle-borns when she apparently wasn't supposed to like them at all.

Isaac was fuming, his face turning slightly red in anger and mostly in embarrassment. What had he done to deserve something so embarrassing happen to him? He was highly aware of quite a few people looking at him laughing, but one girl's laughter in particular stood out to him. He had a feeling the tomato had come from her end of the table but of course he couldn't be sure so he simply glared at the entire table for lack of being able to place who the culprit was.

Isaac took a deep breath to calm himself down and began looking for a napkin that wasn't already soiled with the flying mashed potatoes. Just then the girl whom he'd heard laughing earlier went up to him and apologized for her tomato. He glared at her, knowing he was right to think it came from her end, before continuing to look for a napkin. "Yeah well..." he grumbled a response at her, unable to think of anything to say to her, still focused on his embarrassment and locating a napkin as he rubbed his forehead where the fork and the damn tomato had hit him.

He then heard the girl ask if he needed help and rolled his pale blue eyes. "No, I think you've done enough damage, thanks," he replied without even looking up at her. Isaac finally lifted his head to look up at her after he'd rejected her offer for help and realized she was holding a napkin, just what he needed. "Oh," he said softly in realization before scowling again, mostly upset at himself for not actually looking at her as she offered help. He really did need a napkin.

At first Ariah was a bit annoyed that the boy seemed to be quite rude to her when she tried to offer him help, but then she remembered that it sort of was her fault that he was covered in mashed potato. It annoyed Ariah so much when people were rude and arrogant like that, but she kept her slight irritation for his behavior hidden because it would not be right for her to sink down to that level. "Ever heard that You catch more flies with honey than vinegar?" Ariah asked with a small smile on her face, she was tired of being bullied for foolish reasons that she barely understand what the reason was. At least this boy had kept his mouth closed about her being a blood-traitor that was getting really old, people here really lacked originality if that was all they could come up with to say to her.

Picking up the look on his face and the fact that he had noticed that she had a napkin she almost rolled her mint green eyes but refrained from doing so, thank goodness her father had taught her patience and respect towards others because sometimes she really felt that she would be a lot better off without them. "You probably need this don't you?" Ariah held up the napkin and waved it around in the boy's face, as if she were almost teasing him with it before she lowered it and stared at him with that small smile still clear as day on her face. Even if she was kind, she was still in Slytherin so she had to have some cruel hidden nature in there, most of the time it was written off as playful fun to her though. "But, you have to admit you need my help first." Ariah stated softly and almost sounding snotty with that teasing edge to her voice that was rare for anyone to hear from her unless they had known her for a really long time. Ariah was sure that is this boy smiled more he would be adorable and pleasant to be around, the face he had on now didn't suit him all that much to her.

Isaac was looking up at the girl who held the napkin and listened to what she said, repeating a phrase he'd heard often before. Isaac rolled his pale blue eyes and said, "And why would I want to catch flies?" He emphasized the word flies to insult her. "They're annoying," he added, sneering at her.

"I don't need your napkin," he said to her, looking away and back at the table. "I'm sure there are plenty others around here somewhere," he said, lifting plates and bowls of food for one. It could not be that she had the last good napkin. The rest of the napkins around him were already covered in his flying mashed potatoes so they would be no good to help him get the mashed potatoes out of his dirty blonde hair. Isaac groaned aloud when he couldn't find another napkin and tried taking the mashed potatoes out of his hair but now the mashed potatoes were in his hand and he still needed a napkin. "This is unbelievable," he muttered to himself, hoping the girl was gone but felt her still lingering around.

Ariah was get slightly annoyed with this boy and his attitude, which was usually pretty hard to do for most people because she rarely ever got annoyed for any reason. Stressful sitautions weren't good for your body and she knew that very well, her father was constantly reminding her to just stay calm because it would totally help her out in the end. "Is there any reason your being so rude? I said I was sorry, or would you like more mashed potato in your hair?" Ariah was generally sweet to everyone, but she wasn't put into Slytherin for nothing and that nasty and sly side of hers was beginning to come out the more annoyed she got with this boy. Her mint green eyes shifted a little to see if anyone else was watching them but it seemed like everyone else was already out and doing their own thing so she probably wouldn't get caught if she flung more into his hair for being a jerk.

Let out a sigh she forced herself to let negative thoughts go and for her to focus on trying to be friendly and try to see if there was any way she could fix his grumpy mood that seemed to have been caused by that dang tomato of hers. "Come onnn, you know you want the napkin!" She waved it around, she didn't even know his name but she had to admit that she was having a fun time with this because for once she wasn't getting bullied around for no dumb reason like she usually did around here. Ariah didn't like making fun of people, but she was also not really making fun of this boy either, she was trying to ge thim to laugh or something with her...too bad if seemed like he had a stick up his butt or something. "Better hurry because that potato is totally going to ruin your hair." Ariah flicked some of her own blonde hair away from her face as he eyes sparkled with mild amuesment at how the whole scene was playing out in front of her, she dangled the napkin in front of his face again. There were also a few more napkins at her seat, so if he took this one and needed more she had some extras.
