This RP take place after Potions lesson on Felix Felicis

Alana was practically skipping out of the classroom, perhaps she was extra sensitive to the stuff which was known to cause giddiness with overuse. Whatever it was, she didn’t even care. Everything just felt right. Instead of heading to the common room, she headed up the dungeon steps and right out of the castle doors, the sun shining brightly overhead. Of course. Alana sort of wished she’d run into Ivaylo. If she confessed her feelings for him today, he’d break up with his beautiful girlfriend. Or give her a kiss at least. Alana really would do with either and she felt certain she’d get at least one of those outcomes.

Walking across the lawn, something told Alana that she should stop and take a few moments right there. It wasn’t something she’d normally do because the lawn was usually pretty crowded, but today it wasn’t. Sure, there were a few people here and there, but not too many. Tossing her bag down, Alana settled herself in, resting her head on her bag and her hands on her stomach, the girl’s red eyes gazed towards the sky, watching the clouds as they moved.

Potions had been fun, which was saying something as they had not actually brewed anything but he found himself leaving the dungeon in the best mood he'd been in all year. It may have been because of the liquid luck corsing through his veins, or because of the cute blonde Slytherin he'd been making eyes at all lesson long, or maybe it was both. As he reached the top of the stairs he found that the last place he wanted to be was the library, where he would almost certainly run into Lydia, or the common room. It was then he saw a flurry of blonde hair in the corner of his eye heading out of the castle. He decided to follow it.

Felix felt good, really good. Like he could do anything he put his mind to. Of course the only thing he could think of was winning Lydia back, and if he got to punch her new boyfriend in the face again in doing so that would be the icing on the cake. Or he could turn his attention to something, or someone new. It was then he saw the blonde from potions laid out on the grass, she looked exquisite and with all the luck in the world, he decided to approach her. "Hey, Alana right, is it just me or does that potion we just drank make you feel like you could take on the world and come out on top?" He asked giving her his most charming grin.

Shifting her head slightly, the teenager needed to shield her eyes so she could see who was talking to her. It was Felix, another fifth year. Alana nodded her head, a grin crossing her face. "The world, the universe, Esme Lancaster" she laughed again, wondering what that would feel like, winning an argument or anything against the Slytherin captain. Alana sat up, patting the grass beside her. Having some company right now felt just right. Perhaps Felix would point her in the direction she needed to go. She definitely wasn't going to push away someone who shared the same first name as the potion they'd just had a drink of.

"What world are you planning on taking on in the next sixty minutes, Felix?" Alana asked, immensely curious at what the boy had planned for this next hour. It was always fun to learn about other people, and she hadn't really spoken to Felix ever in their five years in the castle.

Felix nodded along as Alana went through her list of what she felt like she could take on, hearing the name of a person in such a list was quite interesting. Other than being the Slytherin Quidditch captain Felix didn't know much about Esme Lancaster, but by Alana including her in her list, he may want to keep it that way. "Other than being the worlds worse captain what did Esme Lancaster do to you that she deserves to be taken on?" He asked grinning. He felt lighter than air and no matter what Alana said to him about Esme no doubt he would continue to be in his best mood all semester. Yule ball not or no he felt amazing.

When Alana asked what worlds he would like to conquer in sixty minutes it occurred to him that he may have followed the wrong girl out of potions. He should going after Saveli. With so much luck on his side she'd surely agree to go to the ball with him after all. At the very least she'd tell him why she went back on her yes in the first place. "Saveli, that idiot I punched on the cliffs, Lydia, all manor of things Alana, so much luck and not enough time to use it," He said taking a seat on the grass beside her.

Alana shrugged her shoulders. Really, it had just felt right to say. She had far too much to care about besides her, other concerns that mattered more to her, though none of them seemed remotely important at the moment. Now, she could feel just how inconsequential all of those things were and she wondered why she’d ever worried about them at all. Even her engagement didn’t seem like a worry, which confused Alana but with Felix talking again she had little time to focus on that. Right now, it felt right to listen to him so she tuned in carefully to response, a broad smile crossing her face as one name jumped out at her more than anything else. “Saveli?” Alana repeated. It wasn’t like she knew Saveli well at all. They shared a common room and a friend in Gabriel, but that was the extent of their ‘relationship.’ “Oooooh. Someone’s gotta crush” she sing-songed. “Does she know?” she added in a rush. Alana loved some good gossip.

Felix raised his eyebrow when Alana repeated Saveli's name. It occured to him that as he had barely said two words to Alana previously that she might not be aware of what transpired between him and Saveli so it must seem strange to her that he would mention her name. Though of the things he was in mood to take on he found it interesting that it would be the first girl he mentioned that she picked up on. It could have been worse, he could have ha to explain his issues with Lydia, that would not have been a pleasant conversation. "Crush isn't the word I would use Alana, I mean I bumped into her last week or so and well, things seemed to happen very quickly, we kissed, I asked her to the Yule ball, the next time I saw her she pulled out. So whatever it is I feel, she knows, I don't think she reciprocates but I can't get that girl out of the my head," It was strange to be so hung up on a girl when he could count the number of conversations he'd had with her on one hand.

The boundless energy feeling still hadn't waned, and Alana was having a hard time sitting still so she didn't. She changed positions, her jaw dropping dramatically as she heard that Felix had kissed Saveli. This gossip was even better than she'd imagined. "Maybe you're a bad kisser" she teased before growing serious. "Ok, Merlin knows I'm the last person who should give anyone dating advice" she smirked before continuing on, "but I'm going to do it anyway. If you're not a bad kisser, then maybe she just got nervous that you were moving too fast. A kiss and then the Yule ball?" Alana shook her head, her blonde hair going around her shoulders. "Talk to her. She seems friendly enough, and I don't think she's dating anyone now. I haven't seen her with anyone anyway. Not that that means much. I've been a bit distracted this year" she giggled.
