Looking for Trouble

Link took a few steps away from the dungeons when he noticed the noise from it had stopped "Someone must have gotten it, I should go get it" Link said to James as he turned back and headed down the stairs. Even with the stink pellets gone the smell was still quiet awful. Link was suprised to see Georgina and another student holding on to his Boomerang. "My Boomerang! It slipped out of my hand but you got it" Link said with a smile. He really was lucky if the best of the Slytherin first years was the one to find his boomerang, he assumed the girl with her was also a Slytherin.

Georgina smiled as Link re-entered the dungeon and revealed that the boomerang was his. She turned to the girl beside her. "Amy this is Link, I'd give him that back I'm sure it was just an accident," She suggested. Though she didn't know the Gryffindor very well she doubted that he had unleashed the boomerang on the dungeon. "The stink bombs your doing by any chance Link? I know your not a fan of Slytherin," She asked with a cheeky smile.

"yeah, I had consider the dungbombs but figured that would be overkill" Link said with a smile, turning towards the other girl "You don't have to tattle on me, I was already caught by a Slytherin Prefect and two other tattle tails and I'm going to Aunt Cyndi's office now, just wanted to get my boomerang back" Link explained before he had to listen to another Slytherin's ranting and raving.

"Don't worry she's not Slytherin, at least she's not one I've ever seen so I think your safe, by the way I do appreciate you leaving the dungbombs at home, the dungeon would smell for the rest of the semester,"

"Yeah, I'm positive Slytherin wouldn't want to do that to their own dungeons," she replied to Georgina and didn't notice the hesitation as she introduced herself. Amy glanced down at the Boomerang in her hand before handing it out to the boy who the Slytherin girl had introduced him as Link. "Here, take it. And don't worry, I have no interest on telling on, there isn't much point. Wouldn't do any of us any good. Also I'm not a Slytherin," she added speaking to both of them. "I'm a Hufflepuff. Though my twin's in Slytherin, as he so desired. Nice to meet you." She said giving Link a small smile.

"I didn't leave them at home, their in my bag right here" Link said as he reached into his bag and pulled out the dung bomb. Part of him wanted to use it however he figured it would be best to save it for a later day."Thanks Link said to the Hufflepuff girl as he took back the boomerang and placed it back into his bag. "Sorry about your twin; no offense Georgina, mine's in Gryffindor with me" Link said as he thought about how glad he was both he and Lyra were in the same house.

"In that case i better stay on your good side," Georgina smiled, she had found Link amusing so far. "No offence taking I've seen some of the idiots that inhabit my house i understand your dislike of Slytherins," Not to mention the girl who punched her was in Slytherin.

James sighed as Link dashed off back to collect his boomerang. Professor Kingsley had left him to do one thing with the boy and he was straight off like a stray firework! Huffing back down the first few steps half angrily, he followed Link down into the dungeons, intent on rescuing him before Styx came prowling. He was surprised to find three people standing around chatting, and he rose up to his full, pretty average, height to command Link back upstairs. "And what do we have here? Link, you're going up to Professor Kingsley's office now. There will be no buts, no farewells, and absolutely no trouble on the way up. Do I make myself clear?" Despite wanting to grin himself at how he sounded, he schooled himself not to and began to turn away. "Oh and I think I might take that boomerang until later, Potter. We wouldn't want any more accidents now, would we?"

Link handed over the boomerang to the older student "It's not like I cause trouble it just sort of happens that way, well the stink pellets were my fault but the paperball was Aunt Cyndi and the boomerang was an accident" Link tried to explain as he started up the stairs, unfortunately he missed a step and tripped. Sliding down several steps and landing hard on his face; Link honestly felt like crying from the pain however something else caught his attention as a horrible smell way worse than the stink pellets filled his nose. Link had landed on his bag and the weight from his bat along with himself had caused the dungbomb to go off.

Uh oh were the first words that came to Amy's mind as she saw the prefect she spotted earlier. Busted. Then as Link was walking away but tripped, Amy's eyes grew wide and she power walked to him offering a hand. She could smell something even worse than what she could've smelled earlier and she wrinkled her nose. Disgusting. Then, remembering that a prefect was nearby and most probably still watching them, she tried to distract him by purposefully falling on the floor and scraping her knee before blurting out, "Um, help, I hurt myself," she whimpered pretending to cry. "Please could you bring me to the hospital wing?" Amy's asked innocently.

James had started up yet another set of stairs, when, for yet another time, he had to stop. The Potter boy had fallen, and had clearly hurt himself quite badly. Sighing, he went back down the steps, tucking the boomerang securely into his pocket as he did. Nearing him however, he began to smell the horrible odour of an unmistakeable dungbomb. Cursing under his breath, he realised that the Hufflepuff girl had reached him first, and then proceeded to fall over, pretending that it was an accident. "Oh get up the two of you, no need to fake anything little girl. How bad is the hurt Potter? Want Prefect James to fix you up? Then we can go upstairs to Professor Kingsley's office and you can wait there for her whilst I go find a caretaker to clear up yet another mess you've made. I'll take points off Gryffindor for your absolute lack of attempt to stop these accidents happening next time they do. And don't think you're immune either!" turning to the two girls still standing there.

The prefects outburst amused Georgina very much, to the point that she couldn't contain herself. "So let me get this straight, you'd take points of your own house to show us how much of a hard man prefect you are? Isn't that a little bit petty?" Georgina couldn't help but smile, suspecting that he wouldn't like her comment very well and that she may even lose some points, not that she would care.

James scowled angrily at the Slytherin girl, raising himself up to his full height, using the steps to tower over her. "You insolent little girl. I was hired to maintain the peace and make sure people abide by the rules. Taking house points off my own house is bad, I agree, but do not think that you cannot tempt me. I've had enough of this conversation, make yourself scarce little girl, we have more important matters than your outbursts." James severely hoped that she wouldn't find out too soon that Prefects couldn't take points off houses other than their own.

Georgina shrugged her shoulders. "Do it, what do I care if Slytherin win or lose the house cup, it couldn't be any more meaningless, so if it makes you feel like a big man to take points off a little girl, go for it," Georgina smiled as she stared at the prefect, daring him to use a power that she wasn't convinced he had. Even if she was wrong and he could take points off her, she really didn't care.

Vladimir Zhefarovich made his way through the dungeons, trying to figure out how to get his team prepared for the upcoming try outs. He looked at who to knock off the team, but so far, none of them really stood out as failures. His focus was suddenly taken away when he heard a small girl's voice, and another student. He followed, until he saw James Adams, a prefect in Gryffindor, and a first year of his own house, arguing. He caught on to the last part, before he approached the squawking couple, and reaching out to take the first year by the arm. "Perhaps this Gryffindor can't do anything about Slytherins when it comes to house points, but you can sure take them to their Head of House. How about ten, for antagonizing a prefect." Vladimir started before he added, "Let's see what Professor Styx has to say about this. Let's go." Vladimir was in no way kind at all. And he knew that their Head of House would not take this lightly either.

Throughout the entire drama, Bex had stayed in the shadows just close enough to hear what was happening. She stared coldly at James as she walked out and joined Vladimir. She would definitely be having words with the Gryffindor prefect at a time and place of her choosing when she wasn't surrounded by a bunch of other students. He had crossed the line with petty words and Rebecca wasn't going to let the girl wear it on her own. She wasn't the Headgirl, of course she wasn't but she wasn't going to stand for the mistreatment either. She believed everyone should be treated equally and that was not what was happening. She leaned in close to James and in a voice barely above a whisper she simply said, "I saw that."

James was severely irritated by this small girl who seemed that insolence was good. He was usually calm with most people, but something about her was getting to him. He was considering just walking off when two Slythering prefects stepped out, one grabbing the girl and the other glaring at him. The boy it seemed wanted to punish her, but the words of the girl made him realise that she wanted to punish him. "Thank you Vladimir, you're most kind for escorting her there. Well I better take this Potter boy to Professor Kingsley, good day to you all." He wasn't going to admit it, but the older girl's words has disturbed him slightly, and he wanted to get away from them as quickly as possible.
