Looking for Trouble

Link chuckled under his breath as Professor Kingsley told off 'Sticks', he had been tempted to open his mouth when the Slytherin girl threatened him but figured he was going to hear enough from his aunt without adding more. Link wasn't going to forget what she said, however all he could think was that she could bring it on if she wanted to. "Gryffindor's stick together huh Aunt Cyndi?" Link said low so that only Professor Kingsley could hear though he doubted his comments would keep him free of trouble. At least he had thought better of adding a RAWR to his last comments.

Her lips quirked up slightly as she struggled to keep her face neutral. As they reached the stairs, Cyndi's nose was assaulted again and it was easy to be angry again. "Where in Merlin did you find these stink pellets? The smell is horrid" she moaned with her hand over her nose.

Link couldn't tell if he was going to be in trouble or not as Professor Kingsley asked about where he got the stink pellets from. "I bought em before the start of the year, wasn't sure how they would work out so figured the dungeons would be the best place to test em" Link explained while debating if he should tell his Aunt about some of the other stuff he'd gotten. "When you get a free moment, could you help me practice being a Beater? I want to try and get on the Gryffindor Quidditch Team, I already got the bat and I'm sure mum would get me a good broom if I made the team" Link said as he lifted his bag up higher to indicate where the bat that he always carried was.

Cyndi rolled her eyes. Of course that made sense. "Sure. As long as you still want me to help you once I take 10 points from Gryffindor on your behalf" she replied was she continued up the steps. "Let me see that" she gestured for the bat.

((Let's see if we can't keep this RP going :p ))

Link winced as she mentioned taking points from the house "Still want your help Aunt Cyndi, but I better make the team if your taking points" Link said as he reached into his bag and pulled out his bat. "Your only going to borrow this right? Your gonna give it back later because I bought it with my own money" Link said hoping that she really would return his bat later. It would really damage their relationship if she kept it after all.

[I can keep it going lol ;) ]

((I was gonna reply with Bex, but wow guys, no point xD ))

((You can still post; its crayzay old school week its what makes it fun!))

Rebecca watched the events as they unfolded and was about to give her own statement when Professor Styx sent Dahlia back to the common room. Styx had not told her he could leave and so she remained outside in the corridors. Besides, if that Gryffindor boy decided to come back she would be prepared. As it appeared, not only was his last name Potter, but he seemed to be related to the Gryffindor head of house. Maybe that wasn't much of a good sign at all.

The woman grabbed the bat and then murmured a summoning spell under her breath, summoning a wadded up piece of parchment to her just as they reached the Entrance Hall. "Perfect" she winked at her nephew before she gave herself some space and gave the parchment a good hit with the bludger bat. It sailed toward a group of students. "Whoops" she winced as she hastily hid the bat behind her back.

((Sorry Teigan xD ))

Link's jaw dropped as he watched Professor Kingsley use his bat to knock a paper ball towards a bunch of other students. Link immediately started laughing once the initial shock had passed. "I bet this is gonna cost Gryffindor some points" Link said to his aunt with a smile. This was the best Quidditch lesson ever.

James was just coming down the marble staircase in the Entrance Hall when he saw Professor Kingsley enter with a first year in tow. Unsurprised by this now he'd been back a couple of days, he was about to move on when he saw Professor Kingsley summon a paper ball and bat it towards him with a beater's bat. Taken aback, he instinctively reached out and caught it, remembering his seeker's training even if he'd left the team. "Umm, Professor. Is everything ok?" James asked as he went to return the paper to her.

Professor Kingsley blushed and chuckled. "Yes, of course" she replied to the prefect as she quickly passed the bat back to her nephew. "James, meet my nephew, Link. Link, James. He used to play Seeker on our house team, and I'm hoping he'll be back on the team this year."

James looked at the younger kid for the first time since arriving at the scene. As he was introduced, he recognised the boy. "Ah, yes. Link. I do believe I've...uh...seen him around. Well I'm happy you want me back, but our new seeker is a lot better than I would be now, I'm sure. A lack of training and dedication to my studies and all that. Even if I were to return, I'd sit as an alternate for the rest of my years. You really think I should return like that? It'd be bad for morale having me slumped around in the changing rooms."

Rebeca had no idea what to think, Professor Kingsley was playing with a bat and using it to smack paper balls around the room? What was this madness! Bex shook her head and turned around she was not going to get involved in this. That was until she heard more voices join. It was James, a Gryffindor prefect. The seventh year shrugged and followed them. She had nothing else to do today.

Link quickly took the bat back and placed it back into his bag trying hard to supress a giggle fit at the sight of his Aunt being caught by one of the Gryffindor Prefects. She quickly introduced the two boys as Link was informed that James used to play Seeker for the house team "My dad and grandpa did that too!" Link said excitedly. "I'm going to be a Beater though, nothing more fun than hitting things at people right Aunt Cyndi; I mean Professor Kingsley?" Link asked almost forgetting to use her official title.

"Right" Cyndi replied with a nod. "But you'll be doing none of that now. It's time to get to my office" she added. The professor headed for the stairs. "I expect you there in 5 minutes" she added as she hurried off to speak to one of the caretakers about the smell. She'd just spotted him entering the Great Hall.

"Yes Professor" Link said gloomily as his Aunt went after the caretaker. "don't know what the big deal was, it's just a couple dozen stink pellets, not like I used a dung bomb or this" Link mumbled to himself as he started pulling out his Ever-Bashing Boomerang. It would've been much worse if he had thrown that in the dungeons than a few harmless stink pellets. Unfortunately for him the boomerang got caught on something and as he pulled it out, it flew behind him into the dungeons. He could hear it bashing into stuff as it ricocheted off the walls. "Oops" Link said out loud.

James had just been about to offer meeting up with Link to offer a few Quidditch tips on how to annoy a seeker as a beater, but Cyndi swept off suddenly and Link pulled out his boomerang. He was just about to order it away when it suddenly went skidding off, back to the dungeons where he had just come from. Styx was going to bevery annoyed indeed, and James didn't want to get cornered by him, innocent or not. "Uhh, perhaps I should escort you up to Cyndi's office Link? Let's talk after we get away from here..."

"That sounds like a good idea" Link said quickly as he closed his bag and began wondering if he had written his name on the Boomerang or not. He normally did but wasn't sure since he had only gotten it a few days before school started and had been more interested in throwing it than making sure he got it back.

Amy was wandering around the castle, looking for something to do, she had been in her common room all day studying before actual lessons started but Amy couldn't concentrate on that, she was distracted today for some reason. Sighing, she walked around the school until she found herself in the dungeons. She didn't know why she was here, and didn't have much time to think about it before a boomerang came flying out of nowhere. The girl ducked just in time and caught the boomerang in her hand out of instinct, her reflexes were quick when it came to self-defense. "Woah," she said.

Georgina had heard a lot of commotion coming from outside her common room, still a little shaken from her fight she was cautious to investigate but went out anyway. She heard someone shout and she headed towards the noise and came across a girl who looked about her age. "hey what happened out here?"

The young girl turned towards the voice she had heard, and found a girl who seemed to be near Amy's age. She replied with a shrug, furrowing her eyebrows. "I honestly have no idea, I was wandering around when a boomerang came flying out of nowhere," she showed the other girl the Boomerang in her hand. She couldn't figure out if someone threw it, and if so who, and from where. But there didn't seem to be anyone in sight.

"That's very random, it does smell down here has someone been letting stink bombs off?" Georgina had thought to acuse the girl of doing it herself but she had alienated enough people already.

Now that the girl mentioned it, Amy wrinkled her nose. It did stink in that place. "Ew. Whoever thought it was funny, it obviously isn't." She looked at the girl she just met. "I'm Amy. Should we find out who the culprit of this is? Someone obviously wanted to annoy us or anyone else who came down here. Not the smartest of ideas," she muttered the last part.

Georgina smiled at the girls suggestion. "We can probably rule out any Slytherins cos they wouldn't stink up their own dungeon, come to think of it, they might not have got far we might be able to still slot them from the top of the stairs, I'm Georgina by the way, She hesitated before giving her name. Georgina found herself more cautious around new people now.
