Leon smiled to himself as he flipped through a few pictures in his wallet, the one that he had been gawking at, of course, was his girlfriend for one year, Sydney. Sure they weren't one of the most experienced couples, but for kids their age it was a pretty strong relationship. Due to a long term trip with his family to the Netherlands for his aunt's baby shower, he hadn't seen Sydney in forever. Though, he was feeling the same exact way as he always did. His stomach was going to jump out of his body, as always.
For example, when they had met two years ago, he had those familiar butterflies fluttering in the core of his stomach. 'Does my hair look okay?' He thought to himself, raking a hand through his dark locks. Leon, unlike his parents, had dark hair. They both were dirty blondes.

Sydney sighed and pulled at the ends of her shirt. Why was she nervous? She shouldn't have been at all. After all, she was just seeing Leon. Well... That was the thing. It was Leon. Even now she always fretted when seeing her boyfriend. It was the normal story, fretting over outfits and hair and makeup. Sydney knew she was pretty, but what if Leon had fallen for some random girl while he was away? Well, for this fear, she had calmed herself the only way she knew how. She made sure that she looked absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. Her boots were a nice brown color, complimented by her jeans and flannel top.
She saw Leon from afar and tried to play it cool, just walking over to him shyly and pecking his cheek. "Long time no see, Leon!" She wasn't much of a talker either, but she had a lot to catch him up in. And hey, she was sure that Leon had a lot to say to her too.

Leon's face heated up at the sudden contact and he turned around quickly, a sheepish smile spreading across his face. Had she gotten prettier or had it just been so long? There was no girl like her in Holland so seeing her face was like seeing a long-lost relative, the best feeling in the world.
He immediately wrapped his arms around her much smaller frame and let out a booming laugh, "Sydney!" He chirped, nuzzling his nose against the top of her head. "It has been too long."

"You're reminding me of my dad right now and it's creeping me out.." Sydney let out a small laugh and grinned. She sighed and looked up at him, faking a frustrated expression, "You got taller again... Pretty soon you'll be as tall as Austin." She just stayed in his arms for a couple of moments. She had missed the simple moments such as this. Plus it was a nice break from school, and a nice break from drama. But at least she had a new group of friends. Though through it all, Leon was the only person that knew everything about her. She never opened up easily, and he was one of the few people that she did talk about everything with.

Leon laughed loudly and slowly released her, smiling warmly down at her and scratches the back of his head. "Taller? You really think so?" He blinked and let a goofy smile slip at the thought of being as tall as her older brother, he would surely be respected by his cousins then! They always did make fun of him for the little things, his dark hair, muddy eye color, anything they could pick up they would use against the poor boy. But it didn't bother him. After all, he did have a wonderful girlfriend, right?
He smiled and reached out to bring a lock of her hair to his lips, winking, "And you've gotten even more beautiful."

"You flirt.." Sydney giggled and moved away just enough so that he wasn't holding her hair anymore. In truth this was her least favorite part about Leon, but she never told him that. She knew it would only just upset him, which was the last thing she wanted to do. After all, he got enough grief from her brother. It was just the protection mechanism that Austin had. He would attack him using humor, just so that he wouldn't get in trouble. If it were up to him, he'd beat up Leon within an inch of life. No matter, she sighed and tilted her head. "So where are we going..?" It was just around Valentine's day, so she was half-expecting something to happen. But, at the same time, who was she kidding? He was a fourteen year old boy, he didn't have a romance bone in his body yet.
