Lisa had to admit that her time away from home was beginning to take a toll on her. She missed her little home in the far side of Eigg, the little magical town she came from, away from muggle eyes. She missed the ruins of Grulin and the massacre caves. Though they emanated a sad history and served only as a reminder of true sadness, they were nonetheless her history and it was for this reason that she missed them. It was the first place her father ever took her when she was a child. She'd once complained about the lack of interesting things around their town and so all of the kids had gone on a tour around the island. Lisa missed her friends as well, they all went to the Scottish school, as she had thought she also would and yet she was in New Zealand instead and she was upset as well as annoyed. Her father had just up and decided that he liked New Zealand, despite her sureness that he'd never been here. She tried asking her father his reasoning behind leaving, but he'd simply told her he'd gotten a position working here and she had nothing else to say.
The Great Lawn was the only place in Hogwarts that bore even slight resemblance to her home. It was much warmer here and not as pure, she thought, but it was enough that she could close her eyes and imagine her home. She hated doing this, she hated not having a plan. She once had her whole life planned out and now her father had changed course on her and it was hard to find her way back to the day path. Sighing and flopping onto the grass in the middle of the Lawn, Lisa wrapped her arms around her knees and rested her head on them. She closed her eyes slightly and tried to think back to the day before her dad had told her they were moving. She wasn't normally a reminiscent person and in fact this kind of attitude annoyed her, but in this case she simply couldn't help it. "Ah, Da, ye've gon an made a reit gob o yerself. Why'd Ye make us move eh?" She wasn't really sure why she thought speaking allowed would help any, but it was kind of soothing to hear only her own voice for a change. All the people here spoke so strangely.
