With one last tweak to her wig rhiannon headed out of the hufflepuff common room. It was the halloween feast and whilst it was common for people to be dressed up and she had dressed up every year so far. this year she felt a little self-concious of her costume. It was technically less reviling than the flapper dress she had warn a few years ago which was rather low cut. in fact very little of her skin was shoeing other than her face, a little bit at her shoulders. even her hands were covered in gloves. but what was making her self concious was the tightness of it. the entire costume was skin tight and whilst she had charmed it to be cool and be moveable it was still sculpted to every curve of her body. it was also charmed to glow. strips of light radiated across her body, down her limbs and around the doughnut weapon she was carrying. basically there was more magic in the costume than it appeared.
She made her way to the great hall trying not to look anyone in the eye. She would have to come over her confidence soon. she looked at the costumes on display. there were some pretty iconic ones, after a few minutes the room started to fill a little more and she didn't feel like she stood out. she circled the room a couple of times before stoping at the drinks table to get a flavour changing soda and heading towards a vantage point leaning against the wall watching the first years enjoy their first feast in wonder and the older students enjoy the feast in slightly less wonder.

Rebecca didn't like social events. She liked them even less when they had not been planned by her. She was not the sort of person that would normally attend these, but seeing as she had attended last year and hadn't had a terrible time and this was her last year, she decided that maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea for her to go. Not to mention that Dexter, her sort of best friend, had been hinting all the last month that she should go. He could just drag her there anyway, considering they were both in the same house and she was sure he had no qualms bursting into the girls dorms just to drag her to the great hall and that wouldn't be any fun for anyone. This was the first time in a very long time that she would not have her mood etched onto her face in makeup. It would ruin the costume and so despite her mood, she had drawn little flowers over the frame of her face. She was hoping it looked alright, because she mostly refused to look in the mirror.

Grabbing her doll, one she had not had in her hands since she was a child, Bex pulled on her gloves and exited the commonroom. She was trying to get away before Dexter saw her or he'd make her talk to all the people on the way down. Not that she actually would speak to them. Bex had to wonder if her supposed best friend even realised that she didn't talk. She was convinced that he always heard her talk because he never seemed to notice that he barely knew what he voice sounded like. If she were to contact him on a muggle device, he wouldn't know it was her, she was sure of it. Still, he was a good friend and she sometimes enjoyed his company. More than she enjoyed most other people's company at least. She finally made it into the Great Hall, how she hated those stairs even after all this time. She immediately spotted Rhiannon and decided that she was safe. She cradled the doll in her arms as she walked, noticing that the head girls outfit was not leaving much to the imagination. Rebecca was sure that if Willow saw that she would be very pleased. The only one who didn't seem to realise Willow's affections was the subject of those affections. Bex wished she didn't have to see it. She wasn't an affectionate person at all. She stood quietly beside Rhiannon, before realising that she should probably say something, despite her dislike of her own voice. "What are you?"

Rhiannon saw someone come and stand next to here. she turned and smiled. Rebecca was so quiet she hardly spoke to anyone. In fact she didn't think she had seen the girl socialise for years. "Good evening Rebecca." she said smiling at the girl. "I like your costume, especially the wings, so simple but so effective" she said smiling. the whole outfit was so rebecca, pretty but with a slightly dark overtone. not that rebecca was dark, just a little mysterious.
Rhiannon was a little surprised when she heard the blonde girl speak asking her what she was. "I am quarra, a muggle comic character, She is a rather cool scifi action hero" she said. she had seen the movie with her aunt over the holiday and they had tried to emulate the costume. it had worked fairly well. "to be honist i am a little jelous of your loose fitting dress" she said partially wishing she had gone with something a little more comfortable. bur also starting to feel a little more confident in her outfit. looking across the room she saw another girl who may be willow, or may be someone else in a tight fitting outfit. and some other people in rather unusual clothes.
