To be honest, nobody had actually asked Audrey to be a lifeguard at the regatta, but as someone who spent an awful lot of time in and around the lake she felt like it was something that she could do. Be helpful. A good person. Maybe score some points with Professor Castillo. Perhaps that last one was more of a motivator than the others, and perhaps if she was in a better spot with her animagus training she'd be a playful hazard rather than a responsible prefect. She'd conjured up a decent chair for herself and looked the part with sunglasses, a plain swimsuit and a bright jacket over the top to keep warm and be easy to spot.

The finishing touch was a whistle, which she started using and immediately had a better understanding of Teddy's power trip. Not that she'd ever let him know that. Spotting some younger students getting a bit rowdy, she blew on it and amplified her voice with a sonorous charm. "Would the student trying to flip over the boats knock it off or I'll have you ejected from the lake, thank you." At least she would have done it in sea creature form.

Juniper wasn't sure she wanted to make a pumpkin boat and then take it onto the lake. It seemed scary and what if her boat sunk? Wasn't there a whole movie about a real boat sinking so how was a pumpkin one going to be safe? She was more than happy to stay by the sidelines and watch the rest of her fellow students have fun with it, if they sunk at least she wouldn't be amongst them.

Looking at the students that were trying to flip over some boats Juni frowned a little, that seemed unnecessary. Then there was a loud whistle next to her and the Hufflepuff physically jumped. The whistle was followed with a loud voice and Juni jumped again. Glancing next to her. "I wasn't a part of that!" She told the current leader of Heta Omega hurriedly with an audible gulp. Wanting to make sure she wasn't in any trouble by standing there.

For a moment, Audrey definitely understood why Teddy would run off with power like he had. Although there wasn't really that much joy in making fun of the younger students, since they were so small and defenseless. And she couldn't actually take points from not-Ravenclaws. But there was a little bit of joy in teasing them, as mean as it possibly was. She scrutinised the younger girl, trying very hard to look very serious and intimidating. Audrey was, however, a terrible actress, and was unable to suppress her giggles. "Seventh years can tell if you're telling the truth or not, we learn it in Defence," she lied, entirely unconvincingly. "Hmmm...yeah, you're innocent. Carry on, soldier."

Vanity wasn't sure why she was here, as she had no interest in going into the lake on a boat made out of a vegetable. It seemed like a bad idea all around. She supposed she had been curious what the whole thing had been about. She watched the activities on the lake, then spotted Audrey looking like a volunteer. She snorted as she overheard her talk to a young girl. She raised her eyebrows slightly as she joined her. "Were you asked to help out or did you just decide you could run this better than them?" She asked, nodding to a few professors in the distance. She ignored the younger girl, assuming she wasn't important.
