Open Letting Go A Little

Minnie had been having a good evening, she knew she wasn’t particularly known in her year for letting her hair down, but going to the pre-party before going to the hall had given her one of the longest breaks between studying that she’d had in a while. She had barely glanced at her schedule all day, without much of a need to, she had worked in the morning, and then gotten ready in the afternoon and gone. One day at the end of the semester, when all the exams were done and when she didn’t have much quidditch to do. The teen had had a good time, but she’d left when the yuleball had been underway for a little bit. She walked down to the great hall, making careful steps in her heels as she made her way down to the great hall. She glanced around the room, and smiled at the sight of so many people dancing and having a good time. She might rarely be able to do that, since she tended to close herself off to most others, but she liked seeing it. And really this yuleball, Minnie had more friends than she’d ever had. She got herself a drink and stood to the side, content to watch the people around her. She hadn’t felt this relaxed in a long while. ​
