Killian hadn't considered the option of going to the ball before Geo had brought it up. She'd said she wanted to attend the ball again this time as an adult. Obviously Killian had said if she wanted to go he could go with her unless she had other plans so they'd made a plan to go together. This was the exact reason the Professor was now waiting by the entrance for his best friend to arrive, not too keen to enter the Great Hall by himself. He wondered how different it was to how it had been back in his friends and fiancés school years. As Killian saw the familiar face of her best friend he gave her a smile and a once-over. "Not looking too shabby there Geovanna." He commented on her look for the night.

Perhaps Geo should have jumped at the chance to attend the Yule Ball with James, especially since when they were both students theyd been dating other people and had never had a chance to go together. That being said, Killian had been so welcoming to Geo over the last few months that Geo felt as though she wanted to give back to her best friend. She'd have time in the future with James, chances with him that she got with no others, but tonight she'd asked Killian to attend the ball with her given she'd only have the one chance to show him why it was so much fun to begin with. "I should hope not," a small smile creeping on her face. She'd put a lot of time into her outfit, and had used her abilities to create a glittering shimmer throughout her blonde hair that complimented her pale dress. "This might be the last dance as a single man Mr Fox," she grinned, extending a hand. "Are you ready?"

Killian chuckled at her response, typical Geo. Though it was true, she did look nice. The mention of his upcoming wedding brought another smile to his face. "Yeah, I've been ready had to wait for you to arrive though." Killian said with a grin, extending his arm for her to grab if she wanted. Honestly their school had had things like this but it was interesting to see what they'd do over on this side of the world. The Professor hadn't attended much of these festivities in his first year of teaching, he had still been trying to balance up his new life between home and the school. "You looking forward to the holidays?" He asked as they walked in.

As Geo took Killians arm as they moved into the Great Hall, she considered his question. "The Christmas period is always incredibly busy in our household, so yes. I always do," Killian had only been to one of their New Year parties so far, but given his wedding date on the first, she supposed she could forgive him they were a little too preoccupied to have their usual gathering. If she were honest she was also a little worried about being in such close proximity to Veronica. Not because she was nervous of her, but because she didn't want to be the reason the sixth year was still angry. Perhaps it was better Geo kept her distance at the moment. "But it's a reminder that I'm already half way to leaving," Geo admitted. She missed her students at Ilvermorny, but for a long time Hogwarts had been her home and now it felt like that once again.
