Coming from a large mixed family, there had always been a few things that Felix Garcia had no problem dealing with. One, being adults annoyed at him because of some of the stunts he pulled. Two, was having the other kids scorn him for being too hyper despite his age. They all said they were too old for such things that he did. Three, large crowds of people everywhere. The house he lived in, in Spain was not a big house. It wasn't really big enough for all the people that tended to live there at any given point. Worse during the holidays where everyone was at the house. He shared a room with his three brothers and he had to share a bed with the youngest male in the family. His brother, well technically half brother Braninmir. In Felix's eyes it didn't matter that they weren't fully related, the guy was still his brother. His half sister was still his sister, and his step-sister was still his sister. He wasn't the kind of guy to be annoyed by the fact he had extra siblings. He was happy that his dad had managed to move on with his life, even after his mom. Felix was a laid back kind of guy who realized that getting over someone would be a task and a half, but being able to refind love had always seemed half impossible in his eyes. He would always be happy for his dad and for his step-mom. Though she didn't really like the fact that Felix could be so crazy at times. But no one really did. He'd done quite a number of things that had ended up with trips to the emergency room, or with just a whole lot of cleaning up to do. His father always joked that it was surprising he hadn't had himself kicked out of school by this point. And that was really only because, Felix had this innocent little smile he pulled when a teacher was about to give him into trouble. It tended to make people decide to not give him into trouble because they found it adorable. It did work better on the female professors than it did on the males. It was just something he did.

Pushing his way through the crowd, Felix Garcia wanted to just get to out to Grand Hall. The place to eat. That was another thing that differed about Felix and most other Beauxbatons, he loved to eat. He would eat everything in sight. He loved almost all types of food, and tended to eat until he couldn't. Once he had broken free of the moving crowd he took a seat at the end of one of the tables, for a quick exited should there be a need for such a thing. He was pretty sure that he hadn't done anything worth getting into trouble for, so he shouldn't have to, but this was Felix Garcia, if a prank had been pulled they tended to first go to him, to make sure it wasn't him before they start a man hunt for whom it had been. Felix pulled a plate towards him and just filled it with all sorts of food. Bread, salad, omlete, rice. Anything and everything he wanted. His siblings always wondered how it was possible for a boy like Felix to eat so much and yet not be fat. He always told them it was because that was his superhero power, when in actual fact it was because he just got a lot more exercise than people thought he did. However, while he sat eating, the Beauxbatons boy could not help but feel like he needed a little company. He considered going to find his twin, but then decided against it. He would just sit and eat, and ignore the world around him while he came up with his next scheme.

Shoulders back. back straight, head up, stride steady Ruby thought as she walked into the school's Great Hall. She steadied her breath, preparing herself for all the judging eyes of the people around her. Ruby had brushed her flaming red hair to shining perfection, her eyes a lips where neatly lined with make up, lips glossed perfectly in a shade that was not unnatural to her skin tone. Her uniform was pressed to perfection. Everything about Ruby Clow spoke of massive effort but she never saw any of it as good enough. There was always a strand out of place and knee that just too knobbly a freckle that stood out just a tiny bit too much. "Perfect Ruby you must be perfect. She thought as she looked around. There where a few around that smiled at her and welcomed her to their table. Ruby had never had much of a problem making friends in Beauxbatons because of her pretty green eyes and flaming red hair which stood out wonderfully among all the blonds and brunettes.

One would have thought that she would think a little too much of herself but she didn't. She thought so little of herself that it was incredible that she could even remain as composed as she was in public. Ruby smiled at them gently then walked on she did finally pick a spot to sit at among the crowd that Ruby was convinced was judging her. She sat in front of a boy whom seemed to really enjoy his food. Ruby wished she could do so as well. If she wasn't careful, if she took one step out of the strict diet that she had imposed on herself she would blow up like a blimp, or so she thought anyway. Ruby did take a small salad bowl and started to nibble on the ends of the carrot slices in it. "Good day to you." She said gently in French. Ruby's voice was small and gentile. Kind on the surface but if one listened very carefully one could hear that it sounded as if she could smash into a million pieces at any moment.

<FONT font="Lucida Console">The need to be perfect was not something that was generally done, definitely not in his family, and not for him. Felix was the kind of guy who could roll out of bed, put clothes on from the day before and go about his day. He didn't care what people thought of him, which was a fairly good attitude to have, or so most thought. Felix didn't really think about it. He thought about what would make him most comfortable at any given moment. If he managed to look good then there was his positive. He had managed something rather than nothing. If he didn't, then it wouldn't bother him, he had trued, and really all he actually wanted to do was have a little bit of fun. Being Felix that was actually a fairly simple thing to do. He didn't have to think about it, or even try that hard. He was just able to have fun with even the simplest of things. Sitting eating was maybe not something he was generally class as fun, but it was necessary and that was what he always thought about. How necessary it was for him to too something. And it was very clear he needed to keep eating to keep up with his lifestyle. To keep up with how he did things. With how decided that the world was just going to be the stage on which he could preform his crazy stunts. If it got him killed or expelled he could at least claim to having had a good little run. But of course what he really wanted to do was have as much crazy fun as he possibly could, and if he was dead or expelled there was no way he would ever be able to do such a thing. Smiling happily to himself, Felix was pretty oblivious to the people around him. He had heard some people call his name before he'd sat down at the table he was at. Not because he didn't want to sit with them, but more because he wanted to be able to think about his next plan. His next plan wasn't really coming together. He couldn't quite figure out what he should do.

The thoughts he was having were however interrupted by the fact that someone sat down in front of him. The dark brown eyes of the boy looked up from his plate of food and settled upon the redheaded girl sitting in front of him. There was no denying that this girl wasn't beautiful. She was gorgeous, but there was an odd air about her. The way she cut up the carrot, and the way she'd spoken. It was definitely not someone who would generally hang around a guy like Felix. He was crazy, he had close to no boundaries and this girl seemed to almost self impose them upon herself. Which he thought was a completely ludicrous idea. Why would anyone want to be like that. Whatever had happened to just being oneself. To just being free and not caring about what others would think of them. It was a polite, well mannered air. Fragile even. And Felix was not the person you wanted to be with if you were fragile. "What is up?" He said, the french rolling off his tongue. A slight hint of a Spanish accent on his words. He spoke with a smile, and almost laughed when he spoke. "You don't need to eat so politely." Felix said while putting about six mini carrots in his mouth at once. He did have some manners, he at least ate with his mouth closed. "I'm Felix."

Pleasant smile, lovely poise, sweet expression. Ruby ran though her head before putting her thoughts into actions. "A pleasure to meet you Felix. My name is Ruby, like the gem, like my hair." She said then smiled kindly to the boy. Maybe it was his aura which gave a pleasant fell around him or maybe it was just the utter refinement of him that called Ruby to him but she had chosen to sit here for a reason unknown to herself. The Spanish accent served to make her curios if he was from Central America or Spain. "Can I ask what nationality you are?" She asked as kindly. Ruby could not help but smile a bit wider when he stuck her neat work into his mouth by the handful. She was hungry really but if she took her time preparing her food she could spend less time eating and feel fuller without having eaten much.

"If that's how you react to carrots I can always make cupcakes for you." She commented her smile kind but not pained. Ruby was sweet of course, Dympna couldn't spell this out of here even when she had tried but the constant feeling like she was about to break on the inside was something new. It had grown since her sister had been thrown out of the house to fend for herself. They way Sapphire had been treated before she had been dismissed made Ruby and the rest of the house think that she was dead. Ruby mourned her sister everyday since then. She had also doubled her efforts. If she was poised, if she was pretty, if she was perfect than her adoptive mother would have no reason to send her away too. Maybe this was also what drew her to sit and eat with Felix, maybe she needed to know that someone saw her as enough.
