Kayla was frustrated. The novelty of living in Hogwarts was wearing off slightly. She had grown up with a muggle lifestyle. She liked her electricity and her phone. It was weird having neither. She had asked her mam to send a detailed account of what was happening in her two favourite tv series. When she first left for Hogwarts she hadn't really thought about the lack of muggle comforts. She had been too wrapped up in reliving her father's teenage years it had gone right over her head. No she found that she was actually bored sometimes. Although she had much left to see in Hogwarts, she sometimes just didn't have the energy. This usually resulted in laying in bed staring at the ceiling or wandering aimlessly around the grounds and building. This was never good as she usually became curious and more daring. She would do things she wouldn't normally do , like go to places that was forbidden simply because it would be entertaining and help time pace. Thankfully she hadn't broken any rules yet so she was staying positive. She knew it was only a matter of time however. She didn't do anything with the intention of breaking rules they just didn't seem important any more. She had to rid herself of the boredom, whatever way she can. It had got her into trouble many a time in her former schools.

Walking aimlessly around Hogwarts was what she was doing right now. She would sing but after her run in with Lilyanna she was much more wary when it came to singing in public places. People didn't seem to be as receptive here as they were at home. It had almost made her want to cry. She couldn't live with out singing. It was her solace, her go-to whenever she was bored. Now she was stuck trying to find something else to do. She made her way out of the castle and into the grounds. She noticed quite a few people heading towards the Quidditch pitch. Curiously she began following them wondering what was the occasion. Kayla didn't know much about Quidditch. She knew her Dad had a broom in the attic and she figured he must have been on one of the teams. But that was all she knew. She was clueless as to the structure or rules of the game. It seemed pretty dangerous to here but exciting all the same. Depending on how her lessons went in First Year she could even consider trying for the team. It was then that it clicked. Just before she entered the pitch she came to the conclusion that people were trying out for the Quidditch teams. Kayla wasn't entirely sure if she was allowed watch but she was sure they didn't mind. It's not as if she would be on a team this year anyways. So she made her way to the Gryffindor Stand and waited for the try-outs to begin.
