Irene Finch stood in the front of the room, her ministry robes neatly pressed and hair in a perfect bun, waiting for the students to arrive. The woman folded her arms across her chest, her blue eyes looking towards the door as she waited for it to open. She hoped that they would be able to shake off any nerves because if they couldn’t they would never pass their test. Before the end of the lesson, she hoped that all of the students would succeed in apparating directly to their target, especiallysince this would be the last practice they would have before the exam took place at the end of the semester.

Gesturing for the students togather close, Irene spoke. "Today, we will resume practicing" she began, her face growing more serious, her icy blue eyes staring at the students as she spoke. "I am hopeful that those of you who weren't able to apparate last week will do so this week. The next time we meet will be your exam and you will only get one shot to succeed or fail. Your test will require you to be accurate when you apparate, so today, I'd like everyone to line up beside me."Irene gestured for the students to begin lining up.

By now, she knew that the students must know the three D's, so she didn't feel it was worth repeating. If they didn't know by now...she figured they might as wellhave not shown up. "Alright...I'd like you all to attempt apparating from this end of the Great Hall to that end" she said, pointing towards the doors of the Great Hall.

"The X marks the spot" she added, knowing that if they really looked over to the other end, they would notice an X etched onto the floor with magic. Glancing at all the students beside her, she hoped there would be no splinchings today. "You can begin whenever you're ready" she said to the student who was firstin line. ************************** You can practice attempting to apparate one by one.

Today was their third lesson in apparition, and strangely, sixteen year old Raziel Kim was looking forward to it. While he could easily get interested with things, it was quite easy for him to lose interest too. He rarely ever feels excited over something too. This was a first. The first time that he put extra effort into learning something. The sixteen year old Ravenclaw quickly fixed his hair, tying it into a small and messy ponytail before heading down to the hall. He didn't bother to bring anything else but himself just like they were told on their first meeting. It was easier after all. And with nothing to carry, the descent was much easier too.

He was usually one of the last students to arrive in most of his classes as he was too easily distracted during his walks and his pace was always almost too slow. But this time, he was one of the first ones in the room. Their exam was coming up soon, perhaps the others stayed up way too late last night, trying to revise for their classes. The sixteen year old rocked on the balls of his feet, waiting for the others to arrive and for the woman from the ministry to start their lesson. It didn't take that long before the woman began speaking and addressing them. The Ravenclaw stared at her as she talked, digesting every information. He didn't really want to fail the exam. Rarely was he motivated to work hard for something, and he wanted to succeed in this. Just like they were told, he walked and lined up beside the woman. Last meeting, his success in apparating had not been constant. In fact, he failed more than he succeeded, and though he actually wanted to practice, it wasn't like he could do so after their class. Thus, this will be the first time that he would be able to try it again. He looked at the X etched on the floor at the other end of the wall. It was quite far from where he was. Definitely farther than the one they did before. He watched as the student first in line attempted to apparate. He watched and observed the others too before he decided that he had seen enough. He closed his eyes and tried to focus. This was where he usually fails. Concentrating at something was fairly difficult for him. He repeated the three Ds in his mind. Over and over in an attempt to focus. Destination. Determination. Deliberation. And then it was his turn. He opened his eyes, looking at the X at the other end of the room and closing his eyes again. He had a clear picture of his destination in his mind the only thing he had to do was go there. And then he felt that same sickening feeling from before. He felt himself being pulled through a tube. It was too sudden, but he was determined to succeed. And as he opened his eyes and looked at his feet, he was there, standing right where he should be, the X mark under his feet. If he was capable of showing a huge reaction, he would have jumped in joy, but he wasn't. Instead, he just stared at the mark for a couple of seconds before he moved back to the line, hoping to get another chance to try. He was actually quite confident for the upcoming examination.
