Finishing up with the room set up, Irene turned swiftly, her Ministry robes whipping against her legs, to look at the latest batch of sixth years as they entered the Great Hall. Each year, she represented the Ministry in coming to the school to give the students the tools they would need to pass their apparition exam. She wondered, as they cautiously moved towards her, whether that would change when a new Minister was in office. She hoped not. For some of the sixth years, the few lessons that they had would be enough for them to pass their examination. Others she would see time and again throughout the year in the courses that were taught at the ministry. Her icy blue eyes took each student in, gazing at each one for a few seconds as she tried to figure out which group each student would fall into.

"Good afternoon, sixth years. My name is Irene Finch and I'm here on behalf of the Department of Magical Transportation to prepare you for your apparition exam. As I am sure you are aware, Minister Hensel is in the middle of transitioning out of office but she assured me that she wanted this year's lessons to continue." Irene took a few steps and then stopped to address them all once more. "With that said, I'd also like to mention that Headmistress Davershire has been kind enough to lift the enchantment placed on this room so that you will be able to practice apparating within these walls for the duration of our lessons."

Crossing her arms, the woman’s icy gaze moved across the students as she continued. "I will warn you from the start that your ability to apparate will have little to do with what house you are in or your blood status. Your ability to apparate will, however, depend on your focusing on the three Ds: Destination.Determination. Deliberation." She pronounced each word slowly and loudly, punctuated by the click of her heels, so that even the students standing in the back of the room could hear her. "First, you must choose your destination. Next, you will focus your determination and once you feel you are ready..." With a small step, Irene apparated next to one of the sixth years who had been talking while she was and continued speaking, "you must move with deliberation like so." It hardly took her any effort to send herself around the room. Some thought that her slight frame was a result of having apparated so many times. She didn’t think so, though she was certain that it made things easier on her.

Moving towards the front of the room, Irene continued lecturing the students. She knew that some were probably expecting to apparate today but she also knew that the foundation for apparating started with this information. Finally, she decided to finish the lesson. "Don't forget the 3 Ds and I will see you all next time. A word to the wise: Don't bring anything but yourselves to the next lesson. The less you carry, the easier it will be." She smiled briefly, but then her face turned serious again as she remembered something she had nearly forgotten to tell the students. Holding up a hand, Irene asked them for their attention once more. In a warning tone, she told them "And, just as a reminder...the moment you step out of this room, the enchantment will be put back in place until next time we meet. It would be very, very unwise to consider apparating anywhere on the school grounds until then." With that, she dismissed the students and began to gather up her things so that she could get back to the office. Things were busier than usual as everyone wondered got their things together in preparation for this new person.

RP the lesson. Nothing fancy is necessary, but remember that these lessons are so that your student can earn a license. This is just the first of only three lessons before the exam takes place.

Ai was completely silent for the past few weeks. She only spoke when spoken to, and mostly just obeyed and did the things she needed to do. She didn't even smile lately. She and Heath had already broken up after all and though it was completely her fault, she'd be lying if she said that she wasn't affected by it at all. In fact, she was very much affected by it. It seemed to her that everyone kept on leaving and though she knew it was evident, she didn't quite expect it to happen so soon. And currently, she had no one to turn to, so all that was left was for her to deal with everything alone. She didn't cry herself to sleep, she didn't break down. She just kept silent about the whole thing and just continued to move on with her life like nothing happened. The girl just walked in silence as she entered the Great Hall for her Apparition class without as much as a word and just like all the others, approached the woman they assumed would be teaching them throughout the lessons they needed to learn and hopefully, earn their respective licenses.

Ai watched as the woman introduced herself as well as some of things they needed to learn for the class. The Hufflepuff wasn't really sure on whether she was glad or ecstatic or feeling nothing about the whole thing. Nevertheless, she may need the license to apparate in the future so she as well listen and do her best in class. As the first and introductory lesson progressed, Ai had already began making several notes as the woman continuously discussed some of the fact they need to know about apparating and even showcasing her ability to do so with no flaw whatsoever. The Hufflepuff wondered if she would be able to achieve it like so before the semester eventually ends. As class was dismissed, she wondered if she actually was looking forward to their next Apparition class though decided to throw away those thoughts out of her head. She just had to succeed in her lessons there and hopefully she'll be fine after all. The girl left the Great Hall along with the rest of the sixth years as she continued to make many mental notes in her head about the reminders and what has been taught to them that day.

Raziel was tired. Which wasn't really new. He wasn't really the most energetic teen out there, but lately, it had gotten worse. Perhaps it could attributed to his current condition. The monthly ordeal that he had to deal with wasn't something that could be taken lightly. And while it had been years since his life had been drastically changed by an unfortunate accident, he still wasn't used to it. He didn't hate what he had become, for hate was such a strong word. How could one possibly hate oneself after all? He had already accepted it. But that didn't mean that he was fine with it. For after all those years, he still experienced the same pain every time he had to undergo that transformation. And the days afterwards leave him completely miserable too. Barely managing to wake up on time, the sixteen year old made his way down to the great hall. It would be his first apparition class. And while he was still tired, he couldn't choose sleep over a class where he would learn a lot.

It took him a couple of minutes more than usual to arrive at the great hall. By the time he arrived, there were already several students there. He quietly walked to the place that was barely occupied by the students. He didn't want to be noticed. He just wanted to attend the class, listen, and leave. He had to pass this class if he wanted to receive his license to apparate. He stood silently as he listened to the woman sent by the ministry to handle their class. He listened attentively, taking every information in. His eyes followed the woman as she apparated next to one of the students. He took a mental note of the 3Ds that the woman mentioned. It would be wise to write them all down once he had the chance to do so. Apparating would be dangerous if done inattentively. At the signal of the dismissal of the class, the sixteen year old quickly turned around to leave. He didn't want to get caught in the middle of the other students who were obviously excite to put the things that they had learned into practice. He quickened his pace and left the great hall as fast as his feet could take him, heading towards the library where he could be at peace and read.

The very idea of apparating terrified Jessie. She had spent some of the days leading up to the first lesson reading up on it and some of the things that can go wrong, she would come to regret that. Unsuccessful apparating could be painful, even deadly. Despite her nerves, and a little fear, she was also excited. The ability to transport almost anywhere sounded amazing, but she knew learning to navigate such magic successfully would not be an easy task. When she entered the Great Hall and saw familiar faces, some of which were just as nervous, she became a little more relaxed. Jessie would not be going through this process alone, and she knew she was just as capable as everyone else.

The woman from the Ministry who ran the lesson terrified Jessie. The was no one thing that intimidated her, but she gave of an aura or authority that made her seem like a woman who aught not to be crossed. She began the lesson and instructed the students that it would be not be their houses or their blood status that determined their ability to apparate, it would themselves and their application of the three D's. Destination, Determination and Deliberation. Jessie didn't expect to be physically apparating in the first lesson, it went as she had expected. Learning the basics and learning how to apparate without doing it. She also knew that in the next lesson they would no doubt be apparating and that made her nervous. As she left the hall with the other Sixth years, she went over what they had been told in hope that it would help her next week.
