Getting a rose for a professor was odd, but Vader had had to ask around for who Maria Madison was. It had been news to him that the school had a counsellor. He knew why, of course it should have something like that, but he'd been surprised by it. The boy had a rose for her, and it had taken him quite a few minutes to find out from some others where that office was. But, eventually he'd found out where she was supposed to be and headed to it. He reached her door and chapped it softly, adjust himself as he stood outside it. Adjust his t-shirt and the crown, mostly just mindlessly pulling at both until he head something from the professor to allow him to either go in or remain outside for her. He didn't really know where else he might find her.

Maria had made an educated guess that Valentines day was a very good day to have a clear schedule. Although teenagers had struggles of all sorts, problems she helped people with daily, she knew how painful young heartbreak could be, and wanted to be available for anyone who needed urgent help on such a potentially catastrophic day. Working on paperwork between clients, Maria was both unsurprised and upset to hear a knock on her door. First heartbreak of the day, it seemed. Getting up quickly, Maria flicked her wand at the kettle to switch it on before approaching the door, making sure she wore a sympathetic expression when she opened it. To her surprise though, she saw not a heartbroken teen, but a young boy adorned with flowers. Curious, Maria did her best not to let her confusion show, giving the boy a gentle smile. "How can I help you?" She asked, opening the door wider in case it was something he wanted to talk about in private. "Would you like to come in?"

Vader looked at the woman who opened the door and flashed a friendly smile. He shook his head at the offer to come in, not wanting to take up too much of this woman's time since if she was a counsellor she was likely busy. "I have a rose for you," the boy reached into his basket and pulled out a yellow rose with it's note attached and held it out to the woman. He kept a light smile on his expression as he waited for her to take it.
Maria,
Thank you for everything. This flower isn’t really enough, but it’s something.
Odette

It wasn't until the boy spoke that it clicked for Maria why he was covered in flowers. Of course. She knew all about the rose deliveries, having heard many a tearful story of roses gone awry, but none had ever come her way before. Wondering who it could be from, Maria accepted the flower with a smile. "Thank you." She said, taking a moment to appreciate it before opening the card. As she read the message, Maria felt tears pricking at her eyes, to her embarrassment. Her job necessitated being good at subduing her own emotions, but she couldn't quite hold them back here, wiping her eyes quickly. Welcoming Odette into her family had been an unexpected blessing, and she was so glad that the girl felt happy and safe with them. Looking up at the boy who had delivered the rose, she gave him a quick smile to make sure he knew she was okay. "Thank you very much, this was a lovely surprise."

Vader was a little startled when the woman took the rose and note and upon reading the note had begun crying or well, tearing up. He was half way to asking if she would mind if he took a picture of her with her rose when he figured that maybe wasn't the right thing to do. She smiled by the end which was maybe a more positive sign but the gryffindor still wasn't sure if he should. He held the camera lightly in his hands and nodded, "Can I take a picture of you with your rose?" the boy asked quietly, ducking his head a little and looking mostly towards the floor, he thought maybe it would be too private a moment for her to want to capture a picture of it, but he had missed asking a few other people and he didn't want to miss another, but if she said no, of course he would drop it and leave.

The boy's next question surprised Maria but she smiled, nodding quickly. "Of course, that sounds lovely." She said with a smile, holding the flower up happily. She wasn't sure what the picture was for, but she knew there were a few different student publications that reported on events like the rose deliveries. Whatever the case, Maria was glad to be photographed with a rose that had made her so happy.

Vader held the camera up and took the picture once the woman had posed for it. He was quick, having learned to be quick for the accio pictures. The gyrffindor lowered the camera and smiled, "Thanks! If you want to have a copy just come to the accio room" the boy said, "Happy Valentines day!" Vader added before giving a little wave and headed away from the woman, there was still more for him to do.

Maria smiled brightly for the photo, holding onto her rose gently once the boy was finished. "I'll definitely do that, thank you." Maria smiled at him warmly. "Good luck with the rest of your deliveries!" Heart warmed by the visit, Maria was still smiling as she returned to her office.
