There was one night that Logan Vacarius did not ever want to be late for, and that was tonight. However, his therapy with Felix and Lucius ended tonight a little later than he thought would have. It caused Logan to only be dressed in dark brown khakis and a long sleeved black shirt with a bowtie. It was not his best, but it was better than nothing. Logan rushed from the hospital wing, feeling a little better emotionally than he had in a while. He could not wait until he could see Ailsa Evans. She was as beautiful as she was smart. Logan liked her a lot, and he was pretty sure that it was not one sided. Logan finally reached the bottom of the stairs, skidding to a stop as he noticed a female in a pastel green dress. Logan sighed in relief. She did not look mad. Logan slowly approached her, holding a single red rose that Lucius conjured for him to give to Ailsa as an apology for being late. He put on a gentle smile and held the rose out to Ailsa. "I'm so sorry I am late," Logan spoke, hoping that she was not too upset with him.

Ailsa was worried, as she stood in her pale pastel green floor length dress, she just felt worried, Ailsa's date Logan was late and she wasn't sure why, but she could only imagine the worse after all Logan's luck wasn't exactly the best. She checked her hair for the hundredth time waiting for Logan, she knew he was with the nurses so her mind rationally thought that would be where he was but she really wasn't sure. Eventually the girl figured that if he didn't turn up she'd just go in alone without him, but Ailsa really didn't want to do that. Which was why upon hearing his voice she turned to face him and she relax, letting her lips form a relieved smile, just happy to see him. She liked Logan so much that she would admit to, and as her eyes glanced to be sure he looked okay, she spotted the rose being held out to herand her cheeks blushed slightly, "Is that for me?" she asked pointing at it, her eyes glanced back up at him, "You are here now, that's all that matters," Ailsa assured him, before just hold out a hand to him, so they could walk in together.

Logan liked the fact that she did not seem mad at all. Then he realized that he might have worried her. Logan suddenly felt that he was a reminder that he was a burden to some people, and included in that would be Ailsa. Sure, he went through something that no one else could have imagined. He almost lost his life a year ago. And he freaked out about it last year. Now, he would not. He refused to allow it to happen. Logan would just not look at Havoc, if he were here that is. Logan knew the difference now. Havoc seemed to be the nice counterpart. He nodded, “Yes, and Lucius made sure to remove the thorns. He conjured it for me to give to you because I don’t know how to conjure just yet. That’s next year.” Logan was slowly catching up in his studies, but it bothered him that he was no longer at the top. He was still struggling. He took her hand into his, and started to walk inside. He seemed really relaxed. “Everything seems perfect.”

Ailsa took the flower from him and seemed to spend a little moment just staring at it as he continued speaking, and she took a moment to fix the flower into her hair, using the fact that her hair was all to one side to allow herself to easily place the flower in with the rose itself at the top of her head, a stark contrast to both her brown hair and the green dress she wore. Ailsa knew that he was struggling with classes and all the late night sessions of studying she did that she occasionally shared with him, were times she could try to help him, but he was the smarter of the two. She allowed him to take her hand and as they walked she leaned into him, so they walked close, and Ailsa couldn't help but nod at her words, "Everything does," she agreed taking a moment to look at him, and her affection for him was not lost in her gaze, she picked a spot on the dancefloor and turned to face him, placing both her hands on his shoulders and just smiling at him, "I'm loving the bow tie," she looked down at it and then up at Logan the smile clear on her face.

Logan walked close to Ailsa, but it was hard to say that he knew where he was going. Right now, he felt like he was on cloud nine because he was holding hands with Ailsa, his best friend and the sole person of his affection. She stood by him any and every time he needed her. Everything was perfect, but that was only because he was with her. She was the rock of stability he needed in his life. His friends were always amazing, but deep within, he did hold Ailsa to a higher degree than the others. Logan placed his hands on her waist, a blush forming on his cheeks as he did so, and it didn’t help the fact that she commented on his bowtie. It was quick, almost silly decision that he made but he didn’t have time to tie a tie. Logan smiled, “I’m loving you-er dress.” It took him a minute to find something on her to comment on, but her dress was amazing. And he did love it. Logan was speaking the truth on that one. “Tonight will not end like last year’s. I promise that.”

Ailsa chuckled a little at his words, find herself smiling easily at his compliment, and as his hands rested on her waist, she let hers, rest around his neck, resting upon his shoulders, one hand lightly playing with the bow tie around his neck, she thought it made him look both handsome and adorable, and at his assurance that this year wouldn't be like the last time, she couldn't help but think of it, think of the blind panic she had felt, think of the way they'd spent the night together in the hospital wing, she didn't blame him for it, and she was so proud of how far he'd come, and hearing Archie mocking her in the background for not acting upon her feelings as they slowly swayed to the music she leaned into him, slowly getting closer, stopping not far from his lips looking for any hint of him not wanting this in his eyes, before she kissed him, her eyes fluttering closed as she kissed his lips, the soft feeling of his on hers, she could feel her lip stick in there kiss, practically hear her own heart beating in her ears. After a beat she leaned out, keeping herself still close to him as she reopened her eyes and held his gaze, hoping to read his reaction although sure that he had in that moment of the kiss, kissed her back.
