Delivering roses to teammates was easy because he knew he would see them at training. In the changing room, he waved over Felix and called out, "Hey Felix, can I have a quick word before we get out on the field?" He deliberately didn't give anything away and made sure to keep the rose out of sight for the moment.

@Felix Layton

Perhaps it was wrong of Felix to get his hopes up when Teddy of all people asked to speak to him before quidditch practice. "What's going on?" He asked, leaning against the lockers in a bid to look nonchalant just in case Teddy was going to ask him an important question.

Teddy thought briefly that if he was the same age or younger than Felix, he'd probably think he was super cool. Not that he didn't like the kid, he was cool enough to look casual at Teddy asking for a word, "Rose deliveries are going on, and I happen to have one with your name on it." He said, producing a yellow rose with a note attached.

No more king? Mi lord suited you better anyways.

Felix had forgotten the rose deliveries were today, which wasn't great considering he had some of his own to deliver too that he should properly go and pick up soon. "Oh," he took the rose from the captain, checking the note curiously. He'd sent out a number of his own this year so he hoped he'd at least have a few reciprocated. He snorted at the Amory's words, glad that even if he no longer kept his father's name, he'd always have the Slytherin's nickname for him. "Thanks," he looked back up to Teddy, wondering if now was a better time than any to ask him any questions. He was a prefect, a captain, a leader, someone that a lot of kids (he assumed) looked up to and not just because he was taller. If anything, Felix wanted to be more like him. "Hey, do you think," Felix had to ask him something, anything, since he had the chance, "I need to practice more often?" Maybe if Teddy knew he was serious about Quidditch, he'd have a better chance at proving himself.
