Closed Just the Two of Us

Augustus had been looking forward to tonight, even though it felt a bit bittersweet, knowing this would be the final Yule Ball at Hogwarts. He was glad to spend it with Addison, knowing Ryan wouldn't interrupt. He trusted his friend to keep his word. Augustus adjusted his suit, hoping Addison didn't mind that it was the same suit he had worn last year. Augustus held a single blue rose for Addison, glancing around for her.

Addy was looking forward to this dance. She always loved spending time with Augustus- but she trusted him when he said that they weren't going to be entertaining Ryan as well this time. She felt a little awkward with him still. She'd been trying to become his friend, but the boy still seemed reluctant to her.

Still, tonight wasn't about Ryan. It was about being with Augustus. Wearing her best dress, Addison slipped into the hall, sliding up easily next to her tall boyfriend. She smiled shyly, slipping her hand into the crook of his elbow. "You look dashing." She complimented shyly, placing her free hand on his upper arm.

Augustus smiled at the sight of Addison. She looked beautiful. He realized after a beat that she probably wanted him to tell her that. "You look amazing." He said softly. "That's a really pretty dress." He hesitated before taking her hand off his arm and entwining their fingers instead. "Let's go in?" He asked cautiously.

Addy smiled, humming softly and leaning her head on his shoulder. "Thank you," She sighed happily, squeezing his hand gently as he laced their fingers. "I would love to. Could we dance tonight?" She asked, her voice sounding hopeful. With their previous... company, dancing had never really been an option.
