Yellow Rose for @Flynn North

Brooke had been looking forward to delivering this rose the second she'd seen it on her list. A pink one would have been more interesting, but anyone sending roses to someone as prickly as Flynn North was something that caught Brooke's interest. Especially after he'd gone to the ball last semester with one of her friends.

"Hey, Flynn," Brooke called, pushing off the spot she'd been waiting near the wall when she saw him making his way past. "I've got a rose for you," she said, wiggling it enticingly, hoping maybe she could get him to stop on the off chance she could coax him into telling her who it was from. It'd been tempting to look at the note, but Brooke didn't want to risk getting in trouble just for a little gossip.

This was getting ridiculous at this point. Getting one rose from Finn as a joke had been enough for him, never being much of a fan of this ridiculous time of year in the first place. But when Brooke pushed herself off the wall and was wiggling another rose in front of his face, Flynn couldn't help but narrow his eyes. "You don't have to sound so pleased about it," it wasn't that amusing for him to be getting one, was it?

Brooke supposed she shouldn't be taken aback by Flynn's bad attitude anymore. It was a miracle he got any roses carrying that chip around on his shoulder, which did make it all the more interesting. "Guess it'd be a waste of time to hope you're having a good Valentine's too," she said sweetly, all but pressing the rose into Flynn's hand along with the note. "Most people like to know people are thinking of them," she added, nodding to the note and hoping Flynn would open it.
