The next rose on her list made Poppy a bit nervous. Her falling out with Nicole had taken Emma along with it. While she was still friends with Iris she felt a bit uncertain about where she stood with Emma. She had always been closer to Iris out of the Van Houten twins and after so much time apart she wasn't sure what to expect as she approached the Gryffindor on the lawn. "Happy Valentine's day!" she said simply and as enthusiastically as she had with every other delivery today. "For you." she added a bit redundantly and held out a yellow rose. @Emma van Houten

Emma had been happy to get out of the rose-craze in the castle for a bit, wandering around outside. She was a bit sad about the dance tonight, as it would be the final Hogwarts event she would attend. It was very strange to think about. Emma was kicking around a ball someone abandoned outside when she suddenly heard someone approach. She frowned a bit at Poppy, wondering if she had a message for Iris or something. But her expression brightened when she realized the girl was giving her a rose. She beamed, reaching for it. "Oh, thanks!"

Poppy let go of a quiet sigh as Emma didn't seem to react at all to her and instead eagerly reached for the rose. She wasn't about to question that and she handed over the rose with a small smile. "Hope you're having a good Valentine's day." she said before tracking down the right note and handing it over. "Here you go." Poppy said, rather please with how well this was all going.

Emma,
Thanks for being my best friend!
Lysander

Emma wasn't sure where Poppy fell in the whole Nicole and Connor thing, though she guessed not on Nicole's side. She decided not to think about it too much, it wasn't her fault Poppy delivered a rose to her. Nicole didn't need to know anyway. "Thanks, same to you." She said, looking at the rose eagerly. She grabbed it as soon as Poppy handed it over, opening the note. She grinned at the note before folding it again. "Thanks again." She said.

"You're welcome." Poppy said with a smile but made no move to leave right away. She wasn't sure why she was hovering except that it felt just as awkward to stand there as it was to leave without another word. She was so unsure how to navigate this encounter, all other social cues seemed to have gone out the window too. "Uh, I'll see you around." she said quickly before picking up her basket of roses and getting back to her deliveries.
